The good 'til cancelled got me, I missed ending my auctions and now I have 675 stale auctions relisted while 8,000 more items wait to be listed in my rotating inventory. There go my sales for June. I really feel awful for the folks that need this income, I'm blessed this is just for fun money. Sorry kids, the weekend up the mountains are cancelled, ebay relisted a bunch of auctions that aren't going to sell and I just wasted $60 on a monthly store subscription fee.

Sorry this happened to you but it can happen to any of us!

If I had 8,000 listings personally I would have made sure I conducted my business in a timely fashion to avoid relisting items I did not want relisted. Maybe find yourself a calendar and write down chores that needed done for each month to keep your business running smoothly and cost effectively. I believe even with a smart phone you can set up reminders of sort.

The sad part is, I noticed it just now because I had an alert set on my phone to end the auctions, I put the wrong date on my phone. It is my fault, but another unnecessary hoop to jump through. I ended all my auctions that were just re-listed. eBay got my $60, they are not getting another dime off of those auctions that got re listed until they come back up in the rotation in 8 months. Are there any programs like SixBit that can schedule auctions to be ended for us?

I refuse to upgrade my store until the problems get fixed here and sales start increasing. I cross post to other venues and am grateful that those venues are what keep me afloat lately.

I make six figures in my regular job, if these things fall through the cracks so be it. We were set up to fail by adding more "chores" that are only put in place to collect fees in situations like these.

I feel with you. E bay knew this when they set up the good until cancel. So they think they are making more money on listing fees. But are loosing more on sales in the long run. They are going to loose money on this. The 30 day was a great tool for sellers. Buyers did not know if the low ball price on a item was going to relist. And was buying at last day lots of times. Not now. Just a policy that going to cost them not help. And also now I see its costing a good seller. I hope you all the best in the future. E bay should really rethink and bring back the 30 duration. Enough things are costing them sells. Like the internet sales tax and more. Without them cutting their own neck off. With stupid changes that hurt not help.

Yep, lots of last minute purchasers are now missing out. I read a post by another individual about how wonderful the GTC was because it was like a flea market that never closed and people would miss something if it ended. I sell old yearbooks, I sell so many from people who search completed auctions and I put them up for them. What they fail to understand, is my flea market table holds 1000 items per month and I need to rotate the inventory.

unfortunately we all saw this coming with the good to cancel change and knew it would happen. yet ebay will not change it because it is a MONIES maker for them bigtime. and it will happen to many. we can only try to manage our listings very carefully.

i have a desktop calendar gadget that is very simple but allows recurring entries. i use it as reminder for many things here on ebay ... from reminders of downloading reports in pdf for records, to when to cancel/relist 1-2 days early. it marks days with occurrences in different colors also. makes a great tickler/reminder system and always in the corner of my screen in full sight.

as far as i know they should not. but .... it would not be the first time ebay pulled a fast one ... or maybe i missed something in promulgated policy changes?

I have heard mention of that... was that with the quick-listing form? Or an app thing maybe?
