How is this new forced Good Till canceled working out for everyone? I haven't made a sale since it started in mid-March. Fewer people see and look at my items and I havent sold anything in 2 months! I used to sell every 2 days.

I'm a low volume seller selling in a niche market. Sales for the past several months tanked, but April was my best month so far in 2019. So far in May, I've had 7 sales.

I’m wondering if it would help if you looked at your titles for better keywords
For example, you only have “dream” instead of “dreams collection” for your Disney sheets
You have “jacket” but not the word “coat” for your North Face piece

You have several Christmas cards up that don’t even have the word “Christmas “

I was wondering how Christmas ornaments sold in May.
Fortunately, that neg should wear off in August and you will return to 100% feedback.
Since you don't have a Store it looks like you are paying $6.00 a month for those 17 listings in excess of your Flat Fifty.
If you had 100 listings you could have even more listings for only $8.00 a month in a mini-store.
Or you could drop your costs by closing some of those out of season listings. They will go to your Unsold List for three months.

It's been ALL downhill for me since GTC or the GOT YA FEE was implemented my BIN listings are stagnant. I even tried to use eBay's auctions recently but that was a TOTAL fail as well due to non-payers. Shut my shop down and I'm off to other venues. Good luck we ALL need it.

Thanks!
Actually you'd be surprised how many ornaments actually sell in May (in previous years). Half the reason I listed them is because they go away after 3 months in the "unsold" list and then they are gone and I have to start over again. I wish I could save them forever until I need them again. I just think ebay is getting more and more difficult for small sellers.
Yeah, I can't wait for that negative review to go away! (The review was false but of course eBay sided with them)

Thanks for your suggestions.
I didn't want to write 'coat' for the North Face jacket because coats and jackets are different things.
(In response your other comment below)
I put holiday card instead of Christmas card because some say happy holidays and I didn't want people to feel excluded
I'll update the other listing. Thanks for your help.

I'm cancelling my listings a couple of hours before they are suppose to roll over. I've had a bit of a bounce back in sales but only because I've lowered the prices to clean out stale inventory.
I deleted 100 items this morning that will be going to the thrift stores and pulled most of my NWTs as I'm not getting exposure like the bigger sellers are so they'll go to the garages sale and I hope to at least recoup what I spent on them. Good items that don't get exposure are going up in lots on FB.
As far as your listings - I agree with the way buyers read - using coat may not be a good idea as everyone's idea of a coat is different. Many think a coat comes down over the hips. We have to be careful how items are described these days. And using Holiday vs Christmas - another good call as so many are PC.

For listings that are of the same design before the changes, sales are down without any doubt. Unfair to compare improvements with new designs and tactics used for our listings for obvious reasons, but sales are down on those as well. Some of the tactics are to work with GTC for listings never meant to be GTC, and those are as well... you guessed it, down. So even when thumbing the scale to show all favorability, sales(and more importantly, profits) are still down over-all.

I'm starting to think for us, it's the beginning of the end.
We took a trip for a few days & We used to use a few strategies when we did this.
Raising some prices to a still sellable, but maybe not as fast rate, scheduling listings for a few days before we got home, so we would still have time(barely) to get things in the mail & so on.
This time I ended everything in plenty of time to prepare for trip.
No wrapping packages the morning we are leaving to drive 600 miles.
Did not even look at account for more than a week.
Havent done that in years.
Did not stop places like thrift shops to see what was for sale. (That has worked really well for us in the past)
Just forgot about ebay.
Of course the money is the motivator for us.
The $$ to motivate is just no longer there.
We have stopped even thinking about buying. That was so fun.
Prices at thrifts have gotten so high, along with increased postage (& the fees on it) and the competition for resale is making selling here just futile.
Looked at at my items to relist. Some things really need new photos.
Started to just do sell similar, but stopped.
The profit almost doesn't justify the effort to wrap & ship.
So Not today.
Still have a lot to sell.
Or not. We will see.

I've always used GTC so the change didn't really affect me. I did start doing a lot of 5 day auctions on old stock that wasn't moving. I think that helped me getting more eyes on my other items and increased my sales a bit.

Dating myself here - but coats and jackets USED TO BE different things, but aren’t anymore. Not with younger folks and west coast people

We’ll just have to disagree then

Its not working for me, and really blows! My sales have always fluctuated to a certain extent, but now that time duration options have been taken away on fixed price listings, I have only been listing auction style being I have no interest in monitoring to end listings as some are choosing to do. With that said, not much selling which is pretty disappointing being my sales were picking up pretty good right before GTC hit. I'm sure that GTC is not the only thing that has affected sales, but it makes no sense to me that they took away time duration options that worked better for some sellers. Every time a new update is put in place, it is portrayed as being good, or to help sellers, but every time I have had to deal with the updates or changes, I have RARELY found it to be good or helpful 😕The results I have experienced over time have been ... more fees, more rules, more time consuming, and more hoops to jump through! It is becoming a big waste of time trying to sell here, and I am loosing interest real fast. I just took another car load to donation center this past weekend. Ebay has proved to me that they do not value me, my time, my efforts, or the revenue I have generated for US over the past 17 years. I don't even know why I bother to post on here because it appears that Ebay doesn't read our posts, and they do not care to take concerns into consideration from the source of their being, which is THE SELLERS. What I do know is that I am fed up, and I am done conforming to the **bleep** implementations and updates! Whats the point if options are taken away, more fees are charged in multiple areas, and I can't make any money?
