Good till canceled

My listings are all being changed from 30 day duration to good till canceled!  I prefer to relist using sell similar so I can do any necessary “tweaking” to improve listings.  Stop interfering with my stuff eBay!  So over all the meddling with my choices!  Thank goodness I only have 60-80 active listings to review and restore my own settings😡😤

Are you using a mobile app, perhaps?  It has been reported that the GTC/auto relist is the default when using a mobile app.

You probably get better results that way; I understand the app is problematic.

My next guess is that you are using the "short form" to list as opposed to the "advanced form".  Just like using the app, the short listing form has defaults incorporated as well.  In addition, I remember reading a while back that there was a "free listing" promotion where in the small print, one agreed to a number of auto relists.  Hopefully, someone will come by that can be of more assistance.

Yes, the short form has defaults.  The advanced listing form can help eliminate defaults.

Just to add, it is called the Quick List Tool [QLT] or the Advance List Form [ALF].

All you have to do is go carefully through it, and click to uncheck any options that are pre clicked as the default, that you don't want to use.

There are defaults inherent in the QLT that you can not uncheck because that option  is not there.  Ebay just auto applies some things to QLT listings.  Which if you don't want that to happen, what the seller needs to do is switch to the ALF.  It isn't a difficult form.  It is in and of itself quite easy to use.

I can’t find the advanced listing form.  When I use create listing, there is no place at the top of the page to change listing form.  Is it not available to me because I am a very low volume seller?  I have searched all over the site and can’t seem to find it.  I used your link but I cannot find the ALF in either my eBay or the seller hub.  Any advice?

I tried the bulk edit feature and changed them all to 30 day duration, but when I checked my listings they are all still good till canceled.  If I try to revise individual listings, the duration button is grayed out and I can’t change it.  I’m getting very frustrated with this problem.  Thanks for any help or advice.

On the Quick version of the listing form, in the upper right corner click on the link that says "Change listing preferences." After that, the upper-right corner should instead have a link to switch to the advanced version (sometimes referred to as the business tool).
