Gods Ebay !! Help in a question please! Advised student brother to do sales on Ebay. For extra income. When he put up the first product for sale, his account was immediately suspended. Now he cannot help but sell and buy. He cannot even write in customer support. It writes that customer support is temporarily not working. I checked at myself, the support service is working and I can write to them. We have different addresses, and he has his own laptop. What could be the problem? and how to get out of it?

I assume like you, he is in Russia?

He should have received an email, most likely asking for identifying info for verification.

What was the item he tried to list?

What EXACT reason was given in the notice they received from eBay?

Hello, sorry this happened to your brother. Would like to help, but we need more information.

In general terms, i can only speculate, but if this was your brother’s first attempt at eBay, international sellers usually need to establish a good track record in the domestic market first. And eBay often needs the new seller to confirm and document his identity. But these are just guesses as it relates to your circumstances.

I asked him what he did. he said that before the sale, he bought on ebay windows 10, the purchase went well. Then Microsoft office bought for myself. then I decided to try selling the Apple keyboard through an auction (from $ 110). after that a message came up with a suspension. now he cannot do anything.

Is there any possibility at all that YOU have had an issue on YOUR account? I can't figure out from your statements here if that has been considered or not.

When a buyer has an issue on their own account and then tries to open another account to circumvent the problem, eBay will know about it.

I'm good. My brother doesn’t get to sell on Ebay. He asked me to help. Why can't he do something on ebay.

Hi again, based on the info you have shared about your brother’s problem, he needs to contact eBay directly and find out the exact reason for their concern. It may be something as simple as verifying his name and address.

Ebay hasn't said exactly why they suspended his account, so none of us here in the forums can answer why. As i said upthread, if a seller wants to use eBay to sell internationally, eBay may want to assure themselves that he is who he says he is. Urge your brother to contact eBay and ask them what he needs to do to get reinstated.

There are several ways to reach out to eBay right now. One is to go to their Facebook page. Another is thru Twitter and lastly, use the Help & Contact link found on the ebay.com site at the bottom or top of most pages.
