Global Shipping issue

I sold a small bundle, and forgot to add a small item when I shipped it. Normally I'd just ship it out of pocket, but this was an international sale.

How do I send the missing item? Just create a new listing and have the buyer buy it now, and refund the money later?

Global Shipping issue

That's always been a fear of mine, especially since most of my orders are multi-item orders.  I know you can't just send another package out.

I think if (when... only inevitable that I eventually do this as well) it happens I would probably just explain in a message best I can and refund that part of the order.

If you created a new listing as you thought, the Global Shipping buyer would have to pay the import fees and additional shipping that you as the seller never even see, so would not be able to refund them their full purchase price.

a listing does not have to be GSP.

Normally I'd just say ship it - you don't need GSP for international shipping, really. But the hang-up would be customs and duty for this second separate item.  You don't want to incur more charges for your buyer (i.e., separate duty or processing costs). It may be easier to contact your buyer and let them know, and offer a good partial refund unless they truly want the item.

If the item is not too spendy it might not incur duty.

How "small"?

Depending on that answer but the easiest way would be to send it directly yourself and don't get eBay or GSP involved at all.

eBay has already been paid their fees so they don't care.
