Global Shipping Question

I have only shipped International thru Global Shipping. Any buyer from another country has been going thru Global Shipping. Most of the time I don't even know where the final destination is unless I dig it out. Tonight, I received 2 offers and the buyer is in China and it shows the shipping location as China.

Is this something new? I'm not sure if I accept the offers if I'll be shipping to Global location or be expected to ship directly. I don't choose to ship out of the country unless it goes thru Global.

Global Shipping Question

I am not sure which item you are referring to but I checked one of your items and it appears, for that item anyway, your international shipments are still going through the GSP. I am not 100% sure what happens in the case of an offer as to whether that changes the routing through the GSP.

Also eBay is in the process of transitioning sellers off of the GSP program and moving them to the EIS which will ultimately replace the GSP and there have been a number of reported problems with that transition.

at least 99% of your listings are showing GSP.

As far as the China, that is where the buyer is located and that is where it will ultimately be shipped. If you accept the offer when the buyer pays you will see the GSP shipping address in KY. It works differently than a Chinese buyer who is using a US forwarder, in that case the buyer will have set the US as their primary shipping address and that is what you would see when they make the offer.

Global Shipping Question

Thank you. It worked out to be Global. I took the offers with my fingers crossed.

Global Shipping Question

Thank you. The offer looked different than those I've received from international buyers.  I crossed my fingers, accepted the offers and it shows Global shipping. Whew!  2 good sales, too.  I sell a lot to China through Freight Forwarders and have never had an issue.  Merry Christmas.

Given everything that China counterfeits I am surprised any US seller can compete price wise in the China market. Of course it is always possible that they are simply buying items to have a sample/template of another item they can counterfeit.
