I am posting about two sales my husband had
They were both under five dollar books. They were purchased by people with really strange user names. All dashes, numbers probably 15 spaces long. 0 feedbacks. The first one was registered on paypal the second one was not. I read that if you use a gift card on ebay you have to be registered on paypal.
The unregistered sale happened when store was on vacation for a month. Ebay also sent a message to ship to the unregistered buyer in so many hours. He returned their money instead.
Does anyone know what this is or have similar experience?

Never heard of guest accounts. How does that work? Also, how can they use them if they are unregistered with paypal? Thanks.

A user does not have to register with ebay. He can come on and buy with a guest account.
It has to be a fixed price listing. He cannot bid on an auction. And I do not believe he can leave feedback.

It means that he has not verified his account by doing the following
You can verify your account by completing two out of three steps: linking and confirming your bank account, verifying your credit or debit card information and/or providing your social security number.
I went through some old posts and they say that as long as the seller logs into paypal (never rely on messages) and payment is in there and you get the OK to ship, it does not put the seller at any more risk.

They paid directly with a credit card instead of paying with Paypal. Yes, Paypal is the processor, but you don't have to actually have or use a Paypal account to buy on Ebay.

Well, that is good to know. I always thought you had to be verified by paypal. Glad to know what is going on.
