I sell a lot on eBay mostly clothes, a buyer asked if he could send a shirt back that didn't back and I refused...for the sake that he didn't ask me for any measurements nor do I know if it would have fit him or not, and made a bogus claim in the his negative feedback that the shirt was "cheap", perhaps to make his claim stronger.
I contacted eBay and said it was malicious feedback, they have yet to respond and it's been a week. Can you get these negative feedbacks removed, and why won't eBay respond?
I've had issues with eBay in the past as far as correspondence, they offer a "contact us" and to write them with issues and they never respond, is this negligence? As a seller, I feel they do absolutely nothing to listen to issues. I feel there should be a class action suit on the horizon, as there system is borderline fake as they offer to help but have no desire to.

I am selling my own clothing, no listings live at the moment but have about 30 drafts. I measured each piece. As women, we know clothing labels mean next to nothing. We all know every designer has a different idea of size, and sometimes those sizes change per year. That is why, we as women, usually clog up the dressing rooms because we cannot go by just the size label alone. Sometimes, the material is forgiving and we can fit into a smaller waist or chest than our own actual measurements, etc. I am a petite woman. 5 ft 2" I shop online with a clothing company (VENUS) that is, from my own experience, geared towards very long torsoed and armed women. For that reason, I rarely purchase long sleeved garments, or if I do, the sleeves are of a material that can easily be cuffed without looking too strange.
SO, to put up an item of clothing and not include basic measurements, (will that dress hit me at the knee, below the knee, above the knee, floor?) to answer basic questions that any person buying clothes for themselves will be thinking, IMHO is an error on the part of the seller. Still, OP you say you have been doing this for a very long time and this seems like your first experience, or one of them anyway, so you should consider yourself lucky. If you choose to measure going forward, or not, it is certainly your choice, speaking only for myself, if no measurements are provided I would not purchase it from you unless I could have some of my questions answered regarding sleeve length, etc.
My drafts currently include this little tag line at the bottom:

I am sorry but I thought of one more thing. Since your item was for a man, it is a bit different IMHO. I saw someone say 32x32 doesn't mean 32 w 32 l but that is exactly what it means. If they are my husbands clothoes, and I know what size he wears, a suit coat is 38s.....i put 38s in the listing. If you wear a 38s, the item will fit you. If they are 32x32, and you have a 32 waist and a 32 inseam, the item will fit you. Just as the shirts for collar and sleeve lenght are standard, a 14 1/2 is a 14 1/2.
IF I buy second hand, I will measure and post, accordingly. Maybe the person had them tailored and the tag is moot. Otherwise, I am just saying the sizes because I know they are that size and, as my husband is that size as well and can wear those items, I am not measuring.
Sorry to ramble.
