I received a request for a return for a Gateway Dock which is also known as a port replicator. I noticed there wasn't a refuse option. Here's the buyers reason for the request.
"I thought this Gateway would work with my IBM Lenovo M250 laptop but it doesn t. Your description says it works with M250 so I thought to try. I,m looking for a docking station for this laptop. Can I return this Gateway to you for a refund? Wil"
The listing # is : 301767475056
The Title is: "NEW GATEWAY DOCKING STATION PORT REPLICATOR GTW-250DC 9004488 M250 M280 s7200c". The first sentence in the description, under some headers says: "New Gateway M250 M280 S-7200 CX200 Port Replicator or Dock".
So since their's so refuse option I sent the following message: "You wouldn't buy a 1970's Ford carburetor to put into your 2016 Cadillac. Why would even think of buying a Gateway dock for your IBM Lenovo???? John." Myself I didn't want to get too negative and I thought this got the message across without refusing which wasn't an option. However as soon as I sent the message I went back to the Return Request the request showed: The buyer started a return. So I take it this was automatically decided by eBay/Paypal?
So why does an eBay seller have to take a return on a Ford carburator, because it doesn't fit a 40 year newer Cadillac?"
