Gallery Plus...is anyone using it?

I've been gone all summer from eBay and since I've gotten back and posting sales things have changed a bit.

The sale posting page is different and overall I like the change. For once I like a change eBay made. Praise the cupcake!!

But the big change for me is Gallery Plus for $1.00. Are any of you using it and giving eBay ANOTHER $1.00 of your profits to the big gearbox? I decided to use it just because I want to give my stuff the best chance of being sold within the confines of my selling limits.

I did a search here on it and didn't really find anything on the boards for a discussions. What about it? Pros? Cons?

Re: Gallery Plus...is anyone using it?

The fee for Gallery Plus hasn't changed.  It's free in Collectibles, Art, Pottery & Glass, and Antiques categories, and in others it ranges from 35 cents to $2 depending on format and  item price (or opening bid).  I have never used it in a category where I'd have to pay for it, and probably most of your competitors in those categories don't either.

Hmmmm

Maybe my old age is forgetful...

Gallery Plus has been around for ages? I remember clear back when Gallery Plus got you something like 12 pictures and large pictures. But then I thought it went away?

It just seem with this new format Gallery Plus is right out front and center now and I thought it was a new feature eBay brought back with the new sellers page format. I've been happily clicking on it on all my ads I've been posting.

I have the I think Basic Store. Whichever one is something like $29.99 a month.

Ugh...I am so....I don't even know the word to use....

I will not pay a cent for any extra add on.  The regular photos are fine for me.

The benefits attached to Gallery Plus have changed over the years, but it never went away.

Re: Gallery Plus...is anyone using it?

I think promoted listings is a better option on a few of items for sale or auction.

And I think we can now post more than 12 photos for free.

Thought it went away a long time ago.  Then it showed back up.  Did a search and all the photos I saw were normal.

Just my Two Cents...
Thank you for being here!

Re: Gallery Plus...is anyone using it?

Well to update you all, I put Gallery Plus on about the first dozen BIN sales I posted. I think I paid ebay $12 for their next earnings statement and that's about it.

I agree with @12345jamesstamps that Promoted Listings is the better option to spend money on...which I use on a good portion of my sales anyway.

Thanks for all the feedback!

I did have two sales this week so I guess that was a plus. One sold at the BIN and one sold on a Best Offer but just below BIN. I was happy. Wish I knew if Gallery Plus sold them.

Wish you knew also what drove those sales.

Do you really think Gallery Plus stands out on a mobile device? Sincerely,  Doubt it!

Think you threw away $12.  Here that is a nice trip to Chick-fil-a drive thru.....

Re: Gallery Plus...is anyone using it?

I have never used it as I don't see the need for the price of the feature.  As far as I know it only gets you the enlarged icon now.

Re: Gallery Plus...is anyone using it?

I used to use Gallery Plus for categories that did not charge extra for using the feature.

Over the years, eBay would play with categories (on live listings) causing many items to have the extra $1.00 fee that were previously free. Never with notice to me or with my approval.  Extra monthly charges until I noticed.

Currently not using Gallery Plus.
