GTC listings starting at 29 days???

I realize i may be missing something here (yes, I'm a newbie), but i thought Good Til Cancelled listings were for 30 days.  I listed 3 items today and all started the countdown at 29 days.  Is that normal?  Thanks for any input...have a nice weekend!!!

GTC listings are no longer thirty days. Instead, they renew the same date every month. The listings will renew on March 8. Since February has only 29 days, the countdown of 29 days is accurate. There will be some months when it is, of course, 31 days, so it all evens out in the end.
