I have about a dozen saved searches that Ebay emails me every morning with new listings. Up until the elimination of short listing times, those searches were cluttered with the same merchandise over and over until I'd reached a point where I just hit delete without bothering to look.
It's greatly improved now. So much so, that in the past week I've purchased 3 items from those emails (from 3 different sellers). In the past two weeks, twice I'd clicked a link and the item had already sold.
I had only used the 30 day listing time for promotion items, I'd never used the 5, 7 or 10 day durations. When sellers posted here that this was how they boosted sales it was news to me, it also occurred to me why my saved searches weren't very useful.
