I have been selling on Ebay for the bast 18 months. I was wondering if any other sellers are having more trouble with 'scammers". What I mean is people claiming never received item and making me go through a whole process to show that basically they are not being honest. I have had about 10 in last 6 weeks and I have prevailed but what time waster. anyone?

That type of thing -- a false claim -- has been going on forever and will continue so.
As long as there's tracking proving delivery, you are okay. Do you consider that a "whole process"?

Fortunately, it doesn't happen to me that often, but often enough I have a template. Feel free to borrow and edit as needed.
It's helpful. It's going above and beyond helpful. But also with each successive statement, just keeps pushing the narrative of 'if it says Delivered, this is not my problem.'
If they message first, before submitting an INR (Item Not Received): I send this reply.
If they submit an INR without messaging, I first send this message and then add the Tracking info to the INR that shows Delivered.

I understand you are indicating you have not received your package that tracking # [TRACKING NUMBER] shows as Delivered. Could it be possible the order was placed with an old address? From the order, your package was shipped to:
[ADDRESS FROM ORDER]
If this is your current and correct address, then other possibilities can be it was picked up by another member of the household. I'd recommend checking to see if someone else in the house has picked up your package. You may also wish to see if a neighbor picked it up either by mistake or intentionally, thinking your package was at risk of being stolen.
Sometimes, it, unfortunately, happens that a USPS mailperson ends up behind in their route and scans a package Delivered at the end of their shift but ends up delivering it the next day. Now, they are absolutely not supposed to do this, but it does happen, so it may arrive tomorrow or the next business day.
Next, at the time of the Delivery scan, the GPS coordinates of where it was scanned as delivered are recorded. You could take your tracking number to your local post office, and as the recipient of the package, would have the right to request they give you the coordinates of where the package was delivered. This may assist you in locating your package.
Hope that helps!

Well if it did not exist that an item not received is real with fake tracking numbers and shipper errors etc: Maybe they could look around and find their items prior to saying such.
But since such exists folks finding the item is not there when it says delivered; will be filling such before looking...

Just because a buyer files an INR when tracking shows the item was delivered, doesn't make them a scammer.
Last few years I've had a few packages that got scanned as delivered, but they were not delivered to me.
I can call the PO and they'll get in touch with the carrier and usually have the packages back in 20 to 30 minutes.
But, if I didn't know to contact the PO quickly, I'd be out the item and money.

Are you using tracking and adding it to the shipment, or are you scamming buyers and waiting to see if they file a claim for INR first?

That is really clever. I had no idea you could request GPS coordinates. In all my claims, they have never told me.... I may add that for my buyers. Thank you for posting.

It is strange that you have so many. Your volume must be great. I had one odd buyer on another platform yesterday. I know that if you can not prove delivery they can charge back through their card. It's pricy. Alarming to me, USPS is no longer keeping tracking after 120 days. Charge backs can be up to 12 months old. I am considering printing the tracking after each package is delivered. I do not often get a scam, but the economy is rough and $20 extra per incident can quickly rack up.
