Dear Community,
May be stupid question..
My product has 30 views per day, but nobody buys it.
Can you please help understand if 30 views is usually many or not?
And how to know why nobody buys my product? Can I somehow ask the viewers what they dont like in my product
As you may understood I am really new in ebay and selling. Really all my selling knowledge is from youtube and google.
Thanks
Hayk

My product has 30 views per day, but nobody buys it. Could be many reasons but it is not unusual to have a lot of views - and no one buys. Look up the meaning of window shopper on Google. I currently have an items with 121 view, 5 watchers but no buyers yet. Similar to going fishing.
Can you please help understand if 30 views is usually many or not? 30 is OK but doesn't really mean any thing. I've sold items with no watchers and have had almost 300 views without one "stinking" (USA joke)buyer
And how to know why nobody buys my product? No real way to determine it Can I somehow ask the viewers what they dont like in my product - No, not allowed by eBay rules.
Some shoppers may cautious in buying from you for a variety of reason - do not take what I say personally
1. You are a new seller w/o a sales history
2. Don't really know how your item comapres to other the same or similar to your - but price may be an issue but it may not be.
3. Many buyers might be cautious to buy from S. Korea. China has given the region a bad name for some buyers. I for one will not buy an item from China unless it is backed by a US company.
4. If the buyer needs t o return the item for any reason it may cost a lot of money depending where the buyer lives. Probably more than the $50 selling price if the buyer is from the USA - a buyer needs to have proof (tracking) to validate the items was in fact returned.
5. Don't know if this item you are offering a recognized brand or a brand that is only know to a small market area. But name recognition is important - like Nike Shoes, LG, Samsung- hardly any knew the name KIA and Hyundai cars 20 years ago. Now they are built in the USA in Alabama & Georgia.
Could be other reasons but these are some that readily come to my mind.
6. Finally sometimes successful selling takes time - don't give up.
Here is an old guideline for face to face selling but many of the principles apply to on-line selling too. Recall this from many years ago when I attended sales technique seminars back in the late 1960s/early 70s

What John said is right on perfect response

I looked at your item and was immediately put off by the fact that the title said based on raspberry PI and then the Item Specifics said the brand name was Raspberry PI. And then I didn't see the Raspberry PI logo on any of your pictures of the product.
So while I was curious at first, my trust was quickly undermined.
If the guts of this device are Raspberry PI you need to show them including the logo.

That was a great answer. Well thought out and covering most if not all the points of selling! Thank you

Not a problem, don't mind sharing what I experienced in my career. Hung up my spurs in 2007. Several things one can do with free advice a.) accept some of it, b.)accept none of it and throw it in the trash can or c.) think about for use later down the road when it might make sense any way one goes it cost you the same. No two sellers will perform alike and no two buyers will be clones either. All that really means that there are more than one way to seal the deal but always shut up when the deal is done, just perform as you said you could or would.

Views are just views . People are looking at your stuff but it doesn't mean they intend to buy . I used to believe watchers meant something a bit more but I no longer do. I've had items listed that had gained over 200 views and multiple watchers but never sell the way they were . The things I would try in those cases was to end the listing early , revamp the title and drop the price a bit . I'd say about 40 % of the time this method would finally lead to a sale . Sales currently aren't what they used to be even for the most seasoned and experienced sellers . So the only advice I can offer is to remind you there are many other selling venues out there these days .So It's in your own best interest not to put your eggs all in one basket. Tulips

My speculation is that all other on-line selling venues have their own set of issues that the deal with - some similar to what we read about on these forums, some totally exclusive to them due to unique policies and procedure and for a lot of other reasons.
There Is No UtopiaTo be successful one must stay on top of the ever changing business world and buyer need/wants. What worked or sold yesterday may not work today. A not so old adage says "If you are not changing, you are going backwards."

For starters your product is in Korea and you are a new seller. If you had a seller based in the USA you would sell more.
