An ebayer in Canada contacted us with a photo that shows ebay is offering Free International Shipping on our product. We are using their GSP.

Is the shipping free?
Says so in the greeting ad ..
Look at the screen shot I sent
I am in Vancouver bc

Is this an ebay gimmick or a glitch?

Are they using the app? Ebay loves to show things as free shipping in the app, even if they aren't.

It says "Telus" at the top of their photo. Not sure.

Using laptop here I used my Canada zip code & when on ebay.ca I see charges

Give me a few and I will check my iPhone App.

Telus is phone, I am Verizon here & when at my place in Canada I roam on Bell CA , Telus & Rogers

Edit Telus can be internet as well

Thanks for all that! The only thing I can figure is that the one they asked about was an older listing. A couple years. Maybe the system doesn't reach back that far.

I do know that the GSP is really good at accepting responsibility for things like this, so we won't worry too much.

Yes, the phone app has a glitch that shows free shipping when shipping is not free.

It's not just the app.

I'm in Canada and I just used my phone to view the OP's listings in list view on the mobile site, and the first page shows free shipping for all listings.

The proper shipping charge does show up on the actual listing page, however.

Did this "buyer" take a screenshot of the listing page or a search result?

I don't think it was either. They called it a 'greeting ad'. We only use a computer to work ebay so we don't know anything about how the apps look.
