IMPORTANT TO ANY SELLERS!!!!!!!!
I recently was selling an item. I had multiple people try to scam me through email and the person that actually won the bid also tried to scam me. I had emailed with the person and received emails back until it came down to payment. Then I never heard from them again. I then went on to the persons page and read the feedback and they have been doing this for months with all different senarios. So why has ebay not done a ******* thing about this?!?! I am to the point I will never buy or sell anything on ebay again. It has turned into a huge scam!!!!
OH and ebay is trying to charge me for selling this said item!!!

Without any information about HOW all these people tried to scam you, it is hard to say. What kind of scam ends with non payment? You are more fortunate than most sellers, when they get scammed they are out the money and the product. So you are one of the lucky few.
With that said the non paying issue is an important one. If the buyer is doing this on a consistent basis as you suggest due to what you see on their FB. Then it would be the other sellers faults Ebay is not catching this buyer as being a problem. What you put in the FB is NOT a formal complaint. While negative comments by a seller for ANY reason in the FB is a violation of policy, it is ONLY the seller that is as risk when doing this in the FB, not the buyer.
But if as you say there are many of these in the buyer's FB, then the sellers are NOT filing UIDs on this buyer. Or not enough of them have. Ebay does track the UIDs that are closed for non payment and if the sellers are doing that, then Ebay would discover this buyer. Sellers need to file UIDs when appropriate and they need to have their buyer's requirement for this subject set at the strictest requirement allowed to block them from purchasing which is 2 strikes in 12 months. If we ALL did that, I believe the non paying buyers would significantly be reduced.

BTW, it is against the rules of the discussion boards to post another member's ID. You may want to edit that out before you get in trouble with the moderators.
I'm going to invite an Ebay CSR to join this thread to assist you. He is pretty darn good at helping.

Did you file a unpaid item case? If everyone would file cases on buyers that don't pay, they would get an unpaid strike. You can block buyers with 2 unpaid item strikes.

The deadbeat's Feedback as a Buyer is impressive: two pages full of nonpayment complaints from sellers, and that's all accumulated just since last June 27 when the account first appeared. One wonders how many of those sellers completed the UPI process, because you'd think that that many accumulated UPIs should have slowed up that buyer by now... but apparently not.

Hi, sorry for your troubles. Ebay assesses their fee when the buyer commits to the purchase, not when payment is actually rendered. To get your final value fee reimbursed, you can file an Unpaid Item Dispute. Here's the link with all the info:

OP - you're a new seller trying to sell a phone which is one of the highest scam categories. Unfortunately - like you - other new sellers will fall prey to these scammers because they don't bother to read the boards or read Ebay policies to know what to do when this happens to you - they just see the $$$.
Before venturing into any new situation - please educate yourself - look for forums where you can ask questions and get advice. People are here to help you.

Was this for the Apple phone for $346? As a newbie seller, you are a scam magnet for scammers, they think you are easy pickins'. Next time, use the buy it now option with immediate payment required, it weeds out a lot of scammers, not to say you wont get scammed after shipping it..you probably will..
