This is a post following the thread USPS rejected my Package intercept request? Why? - The eBay Community
So, updating from the previous thread. I have filed a claim and complaint to the www.uspsoig.gov regarding my package. I don't know if my missing package claim will process faster than the theft complaint but I did try the hotline (automated and made me leave a message, did I do this right?).
In addition to my prior self-investigation, I found the buyer's Video of the day he posted on his gaming channel BEFORE the date of delivery and he showed his viewers the item literally on his stream. He also mentioned that he "got it in the mail" which requires signature after a certain price point I believe. Is it ok to ask the investigation team to see if he signed for his package on that day? Right now this seems like proper evidence that he DID receive the package, didn't sign for it, and frauded me out of a sale. Also, this item is clearly out of stock EVERYWHERE so if he bought one from me, logically speaking, wouldn't he wait for it instead of buying another ONE day after I expedited it out?

So long as your package was insured properly (you did have it insured for the full value, right?) your missing package claim is all that's necessary to recover your funds. If USPS lost an insured package, you're entitled to the payout.
If you didn't insure your package, then this will be one painful learning experience and a long struggle. You should contact your buyer's local authorities with a brief synopsis of the theft, and let them do their job. If your lost package case goes nowhere, file a complaint with the postmaster general. There are no guarantees on an underinsured package, but these are the steps you'll have to take if you want to be compensated for your loss.

If the buyer did sign for it, the Post Office should have a digital copy on file. If you go to the Post Office, you should be able to get a copy of it.

Should just make sure you have all the evidence you've collected on this buyer/USPS employee & file a Small Claims against him, present evidence in court for a Judge to see! If you win in court, go to the Media with your story!
