So I sold my first pair of sneakers on eBay but they were preorders, which was in the item description. The buyer paid and I need to print the label by tomorrow, 6/7/21 midnight and send them to the authenticator. Problem is I forgot to change the handling time and left it at my usual 1 business day and the sneakers are tentatively coming on 6/11/21. What will happen if I print the label but do not ship them until they arrive. I'm so **bleep** at myself. I have 2 other pairs for sale and made sure I changed the handling time to 10 business days. What will be the end results? HELP

I wouldn't "Print" the label until you are ready to ship the product. The PO might not accept the late label and it would not be honest to do it like that. You will get a Ding for late shipping and you might upset you're buyer. The bigger question is what will you do if they don't arrive on the 11th?

Simple. Don't sell items that are not in your possession and in the described condition at the time of listing.
Sorry but I cannot believe ebay allows individuals to sell preorder items. That should be left only for official retailers or the company producing the product themselves to do.
Even THEN there are often issues, let alone letting private sellers try to sell preorder items.

If you print the label the only ding you get is it won't show any movement until you have the shoes. All that other stuff was either speculation or incorrect.
However you do run the risk of it taking even longer if they're delayed for some reason. You may be better off to take the hit for late shipping and hope you can bury it later with additional sales - usually the metrics are such you can afford one once in a while.
Imagine selling pre-order items in the hobby industry. Manufacturers announce items and then compete for production space in the same plants resulting in typically 18 months between close of pre-orders and arrival of items. In a few instances I have waited nearly 36 months. It's so far out that you couldn't sell pre-orders on eBay if you wanted to.
