Forgot to add tracking number. Customer left good feedback saying it was received. He has not marked the package as delivered and I am trying to get the money that is owed to me from Ebay. Any suggestions would be helpful. Contacted the buyer twice now and they have still not marked as delievered.

Contact ebay and tell them exactly what you told us here.

This is a reason to generate your labels through eBay. That way, the tracking gets added right away.

Stop harassing the buyer. There is nothing they can do on their end to mark the package as delivered.
You can add tracking now if you still have record of the tracking number, otherwise just wait out the hold @amyjani11ee .
There's nothing customer service can do to make the hold period shorter so that will be a waste of your time contacting them.

It is not possible for the buyer to mark the item as Delivered.
If you mailed a package (not a letter) then you got a tracking number which you can enter in the transaction record. Check your receipt.

I could be wrong but I don't know if tracking has anything to do with it.
Item has been received by the buyer...no open eBay claim?
It might be a hold on funds due to be being a new seller or infrequent seller.
Have you received any funds since the first item sold this month on April 5th?

Have you set up your selling account with eBay, i.e. given them your bank information (so they can send payments to your bank) and social security number (for tax purposes)? If you have not done so, you need to do that so eBay can pay you.
Also, new sellers typically have their funds held for 30 days so that everything is squared away with eBay.

There's nothing the buyer can do, they can't mark it delivered, only tracking can do that.
If you have the tracking number, enter it now.

@amyjani11ee : Go to your Sold Items (or "Manage Orders") page, find your item and click the "Add Tracking Number" link (or select it from the little pulldown menu in the Actions column on that row). Enter the tracking number (carefully!) and carrier where prompted. (If you did not mark it as Shipped either, do that first.)
If you buy your Shipping labels on-line via eBay next time, you will not only pay the discounted on-line postage rate but also get the tracking number automatically updated to the sale at time of purchase.

The buyer has no way of marking a shipment as delivered. (Nor do you, for that matter, though you can mark it as Shipped when it goes out the door if you bought the postage elsewhere. If you did, be sure to upload the tracking number right away.)
eBay may hold your funds for a little while if you are a new or infrequent shipper, in order to ensure that the buyer can be refunded easily if things go significantly sideways.

You are correct it's a new seller funds hold.
Tracking can have something to do with it.
Typical new seller funds hold is 15-30 days without tracking. If seller has tracking confirming delivery, eBay may only hold funds until 3 days after tracking confirms delivery meaning the seller can frequently access their funds more quickly with tracking.
This is why we so often see new sellers come here that didn't add tracking, got FB from buyer, and want to know how to get their funds released more quickly.
This particular seller may luck out if they still have the tracking number they can enter. Most of the sellers coming here with this problem ship without tracking so their only option is to wait it out as eBay is no longer looking at buyer FB for untracked orders like they used to in the past.
That's probably more than you cared to know, but hopefully it will help the original poster or others facing this same issue. 🙂

eBay has been more lenient past 6 mo, particularly for sellers in the US with relatively low value items. They are frequently releasing funds a few days after delivery.

Hi @amyjani11ee congrats on your sale. Below is the eBay policy regarding held funds that gives more info on the subject.
