Forgetting to click the Mobile Checker Link

I've been going round and round with this for days. I forget to click the "Friendly Mobile Checker" link whenever I post something. Now, I have to go back and update all my listings. This is after I already updated all my listings to remove the link to my store, which I found out later I didn't have to. I have almost 500 listings. Why can't ebay do this automaticly when we post a new listing?

Do you use the Seller Hub listing page?   I pretty sure my template that I've set up there to use for my listings does this automatically.   I certainly no longer have to check each and every listing to see that it conforms to mobile scrolling.   Is this what you're referring to?   (...maybe I'm misunderstanding here...)

When I converted all of my renewing listing made prior to my switching into Seller Hub, I had to do the mobile checker on every single one and have it correct them, as none were set up for good mobile scrolling.   Once that was done, all of those earlier listings were good to continue.

Now, I don't worry about it on any new listings using my Seller Hub templates, but never seem to have any that need help in that area anymore.

Yes, what a time-waster that would be.. having to check each and every listing made for mobile checker to fix it for you.

Hi,

No, I do not like Seller Hub.  I always click the mobile checker when use sell similar, just in case I missed one. I opened this thread last summer, but coincidentally mobile checker was failing today big time. Kept timing out. I opened a ticket with technical support, and looks like it might be fixed now.

Re: Forgetting to click the Mobile Checker Link

I can't believe they are still making us do this one by one with that little "checker" button. I tried doing it in bulk and couldn't get it to "take".They say make it mobile friendly- everyone shops on their mobiles now...so you try to do this and it doesnt work half the time!Sometimes you have to sit there and wait for that little circle to go around and around and around forever while its working.Frustration -please Ebay Make this automatic! Its almost a year later since we first had to mess around with all this, you'ld think they would have made it easier by now!

Because that would make eBay user friendly, and eBay will have none of that, when it comes to sellers and their listings.

Re: Forgetting to click the Mobile Checker Link

If you have removed the things that were causing your listings to fail the mobile check why would you have to continue checking?

eBay could have fixed the issue a long time ago if they really wanted too. Actually they could fix all their site issues right now if they wanted to, because they have the financial resources to do so without it even making a noticeable withdrawal from their budget.

Re: Forgetting to click the Mobile Checker Link

If you don't use Seller Hub, have manually done the mobile check and added the metatag to a listing, when this item expires and you use Sell Similar to relist, does the mobile metatag info carry forward?

Re: Forgetting to click the Mobile Checker Link

It seems that when creating a new listing using Sell Similar the settings for mobile sometimes get lost while modifying the description.  I suppose that modifying the description in HTML mode might make it obvious that teh ommission was made, but I'm not using the HRML view to write descptions. Unless you recheck each new listing when created, some listings will not be correct. Then as the OP says, rechecking all may be prudent.

Re: Forgetting to click the Mobile Checker Link

I've found that when the checker does not immediately function, I can click Cancel, redo teh action and click Save again. It usually (except once today) immediately activates without again waiting for the circle to complete it's dance. Saves a lot of time.
