I had an item that I have been re-listing for a couple of months and it sold tonight. Before Christmas, I had moved all my inventory from the guest bedroom, to the back bedroom and most of my shipping supplies to the basement. I went to retrieve the item from the stack of shelves In the closet I thought I had put it in, and it was not there. I have now torn up both bedrooms, part of the basement and opened every drawer in the house. The item is no where to be found. How do I approach the buyer about this? This has never happened to me in 20 years! I feel awful!

Absolutely!
I have some berry strudel with a perfectly flaky crust, and some macadamia white chocolate cookies, hungry? 😄
Chocolate croissants and Macadamia White Chocolate Cookies - What happened to the talk of starving and working out? I swear I’m gonna work out. Just have to finish my wine first! Well - maybe tomorrow. At least by the weekend anyway......
I gave up reds years ago, was quite the wine connoisseur back in the day. Now a single glass of white once in awhile. I have a couple cases of super Tuscan futures growing fur dust in my basement...long forgotten. It didn't make any difference in the "muffin top" 😄

Sorry to hear about your sister 😞
It must have felt good to lose that 40....you want to wear those clothes you can have my "40" !
Feels good to unload all those clothes, doesn't it? I felt great just dropping off huge lawn and leaf bags of them, gone, out of here, yay!

You're welcome! There are so many things I like about it. Like the thought that storage organizers just leave you with a more organized hoard. The idea is to get rid of things so you can find the things you want without expensive organizers.
The author also talks about sorting your hoard by type. That many of us have multiples of the same thing or similar things because we forget what we have in other places. Bringing everything together lets us see how bad our purchasing and/or keeping habit really is. For instance I have two RL patterned tank tops that are exactly the same.
I gained a ton of weight in the last two years because of a lot of personal issues (death in the family, near death experience, major surgery). I am planning to keep the clothes from before then because I think that's my natural weight. However anything smaller than that is going to charity.

I had the opposite problem of losing 40 lbs over the last four years and I have given thinking that I'll ever be able to wear them again. My sister died in October and I had to sort through all of her things too. The bulk I donated after I had everyone in the family go through them and take what they wanted. I donated them locally because many people here lost everything and their homes from the Thomas fires we had in December. I literally rolled up with a truckload and I was so glad to get rid of all that stuff as I tend to be a hoarder too. It's hard to get rid of things that you paid a lot of money for, but giving it to charity worked for me. I only kept a few things for sale because I thought they were cute, in excellent condition and worth selling for a few bucks. I also have been buying my clothes on eBay the last few years because I don't mind used clothing and shoes as long as it's in good shape.
Dear Lightlily, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sister.
