So I just had a sale and a message attached that read I just pitched x item from you and I don’t pay shipping so you will refund that amount back to me now.
I’m not one to cancel items, but I sure did and blocked them from my stores. No amount of money is worth putting up with that nonsense.

Is it maybe ‘purchased’ that you meant to say? [SpellCheck is just plain weird.] 🤪

@ainpie-10 There are just too many people out there that are playing on sellers slow sales (some) and sympathies. They know what they're doing. I have been asked to give free shipping, discount because it's a gift for a friend or themselves, lower my price because they can find one cheaper, but they like my particular item. Sales have been kind of hit and miss the last few months where I'm concerned. This is usually a busier time as it's lent and many people purchase gift items of my particular venue for kids making their communions, confirmations etc. Not much yet. Grant it the buyer may also be experiencing financial hardship as well. But if that's the case, they shouldn't be shopping for anything they can't really afford. I would never ask for a discount from any seller. It makes me sound entitled and rude in my opinion.

I'd have done the same. Dang.

Yeah, no.
I'm just about as easy going as it comes when it comes to certain things. Want a discount? Make me an offer, that's why it's there. Want free shipping? Buy three or more items that I have with that promotion, or if you don't want to do that...make me an offer. Again, that's what it's there for.
Pay full price plus shipping, then TELL me you don't pay for shipping and I will refund you that price?? Ain't happening.
This buyer is clearly not from this planet. Would a buyer address cancellation be in order? If they get their knickers in a twist and leave a neg, it can be removed for asking for something not included in the listing (free shipping) or anyone with half a brain cell would consider this a backhanded form of extortion. https://www.ebay.com/sellerhelp

Hopefully you also reported the buyer for trying to change the terms of the sale after the fact.
What reason did you use to cancel? If it was for a reason that will result in a defect, you should contest it. It should be removed because the buyer made demands beyond the terms of the sale.

I chose buyer requested cancel. I received a second message before I could block them (even though they can still send messages) but she said please cancel this order I put it on the wrong credit card and send me an invoice that contains no shipping fees. Sounds like buyer requested cancellation to me!!

Good for you! That's what I'm hearing when I read the message from your buyer cheapskate, too. 🙌

Perfect.
"... and send me an invoice that contains no shipping fees."
Now increase the cost of the item to include free shipping and send her the new invoice.
😉

She just sent me a message that she’s been treated unfairly by me blocking her and at one time she lived in the same state as me. I should mention the shipping I was charging was only $2.99. Wouldn’t even cover it being shipped next door. She said that’s why she rarely shops on eBay anymore bc of bad sellers behavior. Really? My behavior? I said nothing unkind except that I don’t take offers and if I did it would be before the sale. Obviously she’s pulled this before.

Aren’t you dying for an explanation of the line ...”and I don’t pay shipping.” If you still have communication with her could you see what’s behind that? Maybe she’s a princess? Lol

That poor, poor buyer. You might send her this nice little image.

She's playing ALL the notes! Not very well, but she's trying. Next will be "I'm reporting you to eBay!!!!!", after that the law suite (the classy one) filed by her husband's cousin twice removed.
