Firsts Time Getting Scammed

First of all, this was my fault for being dumb and I’m an idiot.

Apparently these scammers have been at it for a while.

Someone purchased a Canon 70-200mm lens from me for $950. Right after they paid I got a message saying they wanted it shipped to a different address. I was in a hurry to send it so I drove up to the UPS store and gave them the new address.

lo and behold it wasn’t the same username. Mistake 1. So dumb on my part.

Obviously I got got as a sucker on this one, just want to put this out there and spread awareness. I’ve always had good experiences with eBay and have avoided scammers in the past, but I let my guard down on this one.

Anybody can look at your completed listing and send you a message about it, so don't jump to conclusions that your actual buyer was also a scammer.

If the package hasn't been delivered yet to the second address, you can redirect it (back to yourself) through the UPS site.

You could also google the street address since it's probably a forwarding service and call them to tell them about your issue. Most of the forwarding services are honest and want to protect their reputation; they have no way of knowing which of their customers might be sending out scammy eBay messages.

Has the package been delivered?  You can try a package intercept if it hasn't.

I think you already know to never ship to an address other than the one confirmed on the order by eBay and PayPal.

Yeah it was already delivered. And yeah this was just dumb on my part. Won’t make this mistake again.

I think so. Are they at fault or does someone pick it up there or something?

this is the website for the “reshipper”

That website isn't the actual forwarding company; that's your actual scammer.  Call TOTALTRANSLOGISTICS tomorrow.

Got it thank you! I called both numbers on it. The American number is someone else’s number I don’t think that guy is the one but there’s also a Georgian number (the country) I kept calling it and they turned the phone off.
