First listning on ebay

Sit in a nice chair and list your good item, make sure it's a good listing for a good product or stuffs.

This is a member to member forum, not a crash course on how to eBay.

There are plenty of tutorials and articles here to read and do your research with.

If you have questions about what you have read, ask them here.

Please do your diligence and make effort to learn it on your own first.

You obviously have access to the internet, use it to learn how to eBay BEFORE trying to go hands on.

My advice is that you scroll to the bottom of this page, clicck on all those links under Sell and begin your education.   All the basics, including how to create a good listing, are covered, so read all that good information eBay provides to new sellers.   You can't be lazy or passive, expecting others to do your work for you, or you will never succeed on eBay.

If you have to ask, don't list.  You will just be joining a long list of frustrated Singhalese sellers.  There is little to be found in the Isle of Serendib that one could sell on Ebay.   It is not just Ceylon but in most other countries as well.  I have a second home in a Southeast Asian country where I speak the language and have great contacts but still there is nothing really worth the effort to sell.   And note that tourist trinkets only sell to tourists in-country at the moment to serve as memories of the country and serve as imaginary connections to the seller in the market.

You should enroll in the EBAY Seller School (its free).    This will explain everything you want to know about EBAY.

First take pictures of the item/items you wish to sell.   In your seller hub go to listing and then click on create listing.   Start at the beginning until you get to the end.  Be sure not to miss a step.  When you get to the end of the page click create listing.  Now you are finished.  Can't get any easier then that.  If you run into any problems enroll in ebay school.

And don't drop ship cheap junk from China, most times your buyers will receive even cheaper versions of the items pictured, and they don't want to wait 2 months to receive it.

Until you learn to put effort in to do your own research, on your own time, you will not succeed as a seller here. I would cut my losses now and find another business venture……

The person who told you selling on eBay was going to bring you riches beyond your wildest dreams should be the one answering every question you have. 

I hope you didn’t have to pay him to get your account started?
