Hello! So i sold an item for $80 about 3 weeks ago. It’s my first time selling so I’ve tried to be super careful but I’m so confused. Ebay sent me an email stating that my item had been sold and paid for. I waited to ship the item since that money wasn’t in my account on PayPal.
The buyer contacted me with a screenshot from their PayPal account showing where they paid. eBay sent me another email with a link stating to click the link to access my funds. When i click the link, it shows no money on my PayPal.
I went ahead and shipped the item after reading that my funds would be withheld for a few days as a first time seller, and when i click on ‘selling’ on eBay, i see a credit for the $80+shipping.
The item was confirmed delivered through eBay shipping and USPS more than 3 days ago. How do i get my money now? I’m lost.

There isn't enough clear information from the OP to determine what the heck happened with any accuracy. Since they are a newer seller, much of what is describes may seem one way when it isn't. The word choices of the OP may not be entirely correct in how things transpired. How the OP is describing what happened may not be how someone that knows and understands the system would describe it.
I'm not saying that the OP is wrong, I'm saying that the OP is new and therefore may be inaccurately describing what actually happened. And that is only due to not understanding the process to begin with. But we may never know if the OP doesn't join the discussion.

Its almost September maybe newbie sellers are signed into payments straight away already? It would not surprise me. But as you mentioned highly unlikely. Two things he mentioned one is no balance in PayPal and two is eBay credit. Frankly I've never heard of an eBay credit. It's eaither awaiting payment or paid & awaiting shipment. I wish the OP would come back and clarify. Because its confusing for us trying to help if we are 2nd guessing. Yes he could have been scammed as well. New sellers should really do their homework before starting to sell and I would recommend against newbies selling high ticket items. Its also likely he's in PayPal jail and the funds are being held for 21 days. OP should call eBay PayPal to find out and then let us know.

Newbie sellers are NOT being opted in already. Select sellers have been asked to opt in to the beta test. This has absolutely nothing to do with Adyen.

As I stated before, it is NOT the Beta program for the new Ebay payment process. You are stating something that is NOT true and you could be causing other member to be concerned when there is NO NEED for it.
You should update yourself with the perimeters in which Ebay is conducting this Beta program. But in an effort to help you better understand, the intial test that starts next month will ONLY include approximately 5% of sellers. The sellers that Ebay selects will NOT be getting payments through PP at all. So the sellers they put in the Beta will NOT be dependent upon PP.
You may have noticed that the OP got their payment through PP. Not until sometime in the summer of 2019 does Ebay expect that their payment process will be able to accept PP payments.
Credits on an Ebay account has NOTHING to do with a payment by a buyer.
Yes, new sellers need to do their homework as do other members when trying to assist someone else.

They have been invited, but not yet opt'd into the Beta test according to Alan on last weeks chat. They are reviewing those that responded to the invite to make sure that they are not primarily dependent upon PP as their source of buyer payments per the webinar. Ebay does not want to put sellers into the Beta program that will have their businesses destroyed in short order because PP isn't available.
