First NARU in a long time...

So I haven't had it happen for a long time now that I've purchased something from someone who all of a sudden went NARU, but this has me a little bit concerned.

I made two purchases from someone who seemed nice enough and their profile looked fine and dandy and etc last night. They even gave me a shipping discount which I inquired about days prior.

However,  you can see what the message reads in the screenshot. I can't open a case yet, obviously since I just bought these yesterday. I realize it says not to worry, but, should I really not worry?

Just wondering what my best course of action at this point would be, and also wondering why or how this would happen if I should still expect to receive what I paid for, which is what that message seems to indicate.

I would have waited until the estimated delivery date to do anything.

See, that's the problem. How would there ever have been an estimated delivery date when the item was never marked "shipped"?

This incident ocurred between the payment and the item being marked shipped.

Re: First NARU in a long time...

As to my impatience, well if the had been in the process of being SHIPPED, I would have waited for sure. But since that didn't happen and I was told upthread that it would most likely be impossible for a shipping label to be created at this point unless the seller went to do so through Paypal, I assumed that the sale was never going to happen.

Unless the seller told you that he had not shipped, you have no way of knowing whether the package was mailed or not.  Sellers are not required to use eBay or PayPal labels.  Sellers are not required to mark item shipped if they use another method of purchasing postage.  Sellers are not required to add a tracking number if they used another method of purchasing postage.

IMO you are overreacting to the message from eBay.  eBay cannot tell you why the seller was suspended - they are not allowed to divulge that kind of information.  Same reason they won't list the IDs of buyers whose bids have been blocked due to policy violations or unpaid item strikes.  It's a privacy issue.

So they send a generic message when a listing has been cancelled or a seller has been suspended to cover the FULL RANGE of possible suspension reasons.  From naively innocent reasons to outright scams.  The content of that standard message does not necessarily indicate that the seller is guilty of extreme crimes.
