Well I had my first INR claim recently. I am a new seller, only been about 4 months worth of selling, sold over 100 items, 100% positive feedback, I take pride in being honest and shipping items fast, securely, and safe. I always communicate with customers immediately after they purchase an item and thank them, and let them know ill ship the item immediately. So anyways some dude ordered a couple cards from me, I shipped them in an ebay standard envelope. Which uses easyship tracking. Tracking shows on the order etc. So about 10 days after it said delivered the dude claims INR. I messaged him, gave him 2 websites that showed tracking 17track.net, and parcelsapp.com. I also uploaded tracking within the claim. Ebay sided with him. I appealed. Ebay still sided with him saying I didn't upload tracking in time before the case was closed. Which is **bleep** because the fn tracking shows on the transaction details from the very beginning. All Ebay had to do was look at the details and see the tracking showing delivered. So I called Ebay and someone looked at the case and said Ebay should side with me since it shows delivered. I called them before I received the message saying I lost the appeal. I appealed through an Ebay message and lost this morning, but called yesterday afternoon and they said they'll be calling me within 72 hrs. So maybe there's still hope..idk tho this whole process seems like **bleep** to me. I told the buyer to contact his local usps and he said he can't because he's not even in the same country. It was delivered to an address in Miami FL and the dude ain't even in Miami. How tf does he even know if it was delivered? He said it was a couriers address or some sh*t. Idk its hard to understand his broken English. I'm probable being scammed, Ebay sided with the scammer, im out the item and the refund. It wasn't much but thats not the point. I have an item worth over 1000$ what the f happens if some scamming bast@rd wants to claim INR with an expensive item and Ebay sides with them even after tracking is there and the buyer seems sketchy? I'm out 1000$ and the item? I just don't know and this is a bad experience. After having lots of success and enjoyment, 100% positive feedback on ebay, I now have concerns about how much Ebay actually cares about sellers and worried about all the dishonest pieces of trash out there that can scam all day long on ebay buy just claiming INR then keeping the item and getting a refund. Ebay needs to do something about this Now!
Well that was my rant and first post on here....
Thanks for listening...

What it seems to be is that you didn't respond to the INR within the timeframe given by eBay and buyer escalated the request to a claim and boom.

Case can only be appealed and granted in sellers favor if the sellers respond to the request within the time frame given and before it gets escalated, I learned this the hard way.

You shipped a sportscard using eBay's Standard Envelope.
Tracking shows delivery.
Ten days later, an INR claim is made.
You uploaded tracking showing delivery.
Ebay still sided with him saying I didn't upload tracking in time before the case was closed.
You lost the case.
So I called Ebay and someone looked at the case
If you phoned the clerk does not work for eBay but for a sub-contractor.
I told the buyer to contact his local usps and he said he can't because he's not even in the same country. It was delivered to an address in Miami FL and the dude ain't even in Miami.
OK.
Freight forwarders are common, secure, and not international.

Apparently I'm learning it the hard way too. Thankfully it wasn't an expensive item. I'll do better next time. Thanks for the help friend!

It's actually refreshing to see a seller own up to a mistake, rather than immediately blaming eBay for anything and everything. Well done, thesnakepit. You'll do good here. Glad it wasn't a costly mistake.

Yea thats exactly what they said, I didn't upload tracking in time but the tracking was already there from the beginning so I don't understand.

Just another eBay oddity.
One would think that as the info is already there that it would not be necessary to input it again, but for whatever reason eBay IT is apparently unable to code so that the "bot" that handles such problems (INR's) can verify that info.
Not unexpected from IT that can not even code to show a proper "sold date" for items when they send an email notification of a sale.
My sales this month have notices of Jan 9, Feb 9, Mar 9, April 9, May 9, June 9. They know it is wrong. They are "working on it". I'm not an IT person, but I can not imagine how this could not be corrected in less than 5 minutes by a "qualified" IT person.

Do not understand. It's a Louis Vuiton bag, it's a $5 item. ??

Wow! Well all I can say and do is learn from my mistake, move on, and be better next time. I just have to be prepared for these situations in the future. Now thanks to all of you I will be better prepared.

No its a 5$ card. I just mentioned in a message that I hope this never happens with an expensive item like the Louis Vuitton bag I have listed.

Thanks but I do
provide clear and accurate terms and conditions, and meet the expectations i have set in my listings.
This was a 5$ card, ebay standard envelope was used, tracking is provided and immediately posted by eBay itself using easyship, the item was shipped securely and met all specifications. I did everything right except I guess I didn't get the tracking info uploaded into the case in time so ebay ruled against me. My fault for thinking ebay would just go and look at the transaction details and see tracking was there the whole time...

Call them. They will usually let you appeal it in cases like these. I've been there before in the exact same situation. Stupid that even tho you printed through ebay, they still require you to provide the tracking, that is already provided.

Yea I called em yesterday and the guy said they should rule in my favor and would be calling me. This was after I had already appealed through ebay messages. I got the message that I lost the appeal this mornin but hopefully that was from appealing through thr messages and they will still call me.
Anyways I've learned something for next time and will be better prepared...
