Well I had my first INR claim recently. I am a new seller, only been about 4 months worth of selling, sold over 100 items, 100% positive feedback, I take pride in being honest and shipping items fast, securely, and safe. I always communicate with customers immediately after they purchase an item and thank them, and let them know ill ship the item immediately. So anyways some dude ordered a couple cards from me, I shipped them in an ebay standard envelope. Which uses easyship tracking. Tracking shows on the order etc. So about 10 days after it said delivered the dude claims INR. I messaged him, gave him 2 websites that showed tracking 17track.net, and parcelsapp.com. I also uploaded tracking within the claim. Ebay sided with him. I appealed. Ebay still sided with him saying I didn't upload tracking in time before the case was closed. Which is **bleep** because the fn tracking shows on the transaction details from the very beginning. All Ebay had to do was look at the details and see the tracking showing delivered. So I called Ebay and someone looked at the case and said Ebay should side with me since it shows delivered. I called them before I received the message saying I lost the appeal. I appealed through an Ebay message and lost this morning, but called yesterday afternoon and they said they'll be calling me within 72 hrs. So maybe there's still hope..idk tho this whole process seems like **bleep** to me. I told the buyer to contact his local usps and he said he can't because he's not even in the same country. It was delivered to an address in Miami FL and the dude ain't even in Miami. How tf does he even know if it was delivered? He said it was a couriers address or some sh*t. Idk its hard to understand his broken English. I'm probable being scammed, Ebay sided with the scammer, im out the item and the refund. It wasn't much but thats not the point. I have an item worth over 1000$ what the f happens if some scamming bast@rd wants to claim INR with an expensive item and Ebay sides with them even after tracking is there and the buyer seems sketchy? I'm out 1000$ and the item? I just don't know and this is a bad experience. After having lots of success and enjoyment, 100% positive feedback on ebay, I now have concerns about how much Ebay actually cares about sellers and worried about all the dishonest pieces of trash out there that can scam all day long on ebay buy just claiming INR then keeping the item and getting a refund. Ebay needs to do something about this Now!
Well that was my rant and first post on here....
Thanks for listening...

If you uploaded tracking within the claim and tracking showed as delivered you should have won automatically so I’m not sure why you didn’t. Was the delivered info available on eBay or just on easyship? If not visible on eBay, that might be the problem.
If I were you I would contact eBay customer service by sending a message to eBay for Business on Facebook. They are usually fairly easy to deal with.

Hi this is a freight forward situation;
Supposedly covered:
From what you wrote you did not enter tracking soon enough in the case:
How much was this item cost with shipping etc??
Oh and they still have other options such as payment disputes and so on they can try if they lose.
Maybe eBay will just comp you and move on....
Hope this works out for you.

Well, if you ever sell that $1000 card, don't even dream of sending it via eBay Standard Envelope.

Ebay said i didn't upload the tracking in time. Like I guess the case was closed before it was uploaded but the tracking has always been there. It showed on ebay the whole time since the item was purchased. When I first received the claim I just sent the tracking info to the buyer in a message because it was already there on ebay.

Yea thats exactly what they said, I didn't upload tracking in time but the tracking was already there from the beginning so I don't understand.
Yea I got a message about some form I can fill out to cover my losses but I have to wait 30 days. Its only like 5$ total so idc about the money. Its just the principle of the matter...
Thanks

Haha I'd never be that stupid. The 1000$ item isn't a card though its a Louis Vuitton bag...

In the future, be sure to upload the tracking number in the case itself. Even then, the case should've been found in your favor upon appeal, as delivered means delivered, there's nothing the buyer can argue over.
Likewise, you are only required to ship to the address provided at checkout, regardless of where your buyer is located.
You are right that ebay goofed. In situations like this, I demand ebay pays me my money, no exceptions.

you have to add the tracking into the actual case ... doesn't matter if it is already in the "purchase info" ..... you have to re-enter it in the case ...

I haven't had an INR in ages, but it is my recollection that eBay asks the seller to respond in the case with the tracking number.
I would speculate that this is so that (a) the seller has the option to work it out with the buyer, and (b) to make it appear that the seller was involved and attentive to the case (rather than having eBay just immediately and automatically rule against the buyer).

Yea I guess I goofed up in the case. It was my first one so I didn't know. I thought that I did upload the tracking info inside the case but maybe I didn't or maybe I did it wrong. I'll know better next time.
Appreciate the help...

Yea maybe thats where I messed up but I swore i uploaded it in the case, and directly to him as well. Idk but its a learning experience...

Uh oh.

Yea its starting to look like the problem lies in the tracking not being updated within the case. But when I look at the case details theres a message that says "tracking updated" so idk...
