I would like to know how people feel about the new discount to buyers on the purchase of buying from a seller. Ebay before would give a discount to the sellers when something sold. Now, Ebay is passing the discount on shipping to the buyers in which it makes the payment not cover the shipping for the item. Seller already get charge a large amount of final fee and now the shipping discount is not to the seller. When you sell something for 19.99 plus shipping it comes down to approximately 12.00 dollar made in which you have to take out the cost of the item you listed making it even less. Something 9.99 comes down to about 3.00 after all fees. I think this is not right. Also, I learned if a buyer buys more items from you, Ebay will only charge the first shipping and not combined total shipping weight. It is automatically set that way until you discover something isn't right and then have to go into setting and change stuff. It is almost hardly listing anything that is low because you may not make money. How do you feel about these changes with Ebay. I have bee a member since 2002 and it has become much harder to make any money on here.

You can set your site preferences so that buyers are charged the retail price for shipping.

I didn't agree to it. It's  optional.

You can opt out of eBay's discounted shipping to buyers. You can either click the link I provided or go to your account settings, click Shipping Preferences then scroll down the page to locate Shipping discounts settings.

Yes. I already did that but not until after the fact of loosing money to cover shipping. It should not be where they automatically make that change to your account. It should be a opt in and not where you have to opt out.

If you do not track the Ebay changes before they take effect, you may be affected by many changes which adversely affect you.

Ebay is not set it and forget it. If it is not important enough to check the announcements, it can cost you money.
