Why do we keep using eBay when the fees are such a rip off , how can they charge me £1.25 for sending an item that cost £10 to send , I end up losing money, people say charge more for the postage, but you either don't sell it , or sell for less than it's worth, and if you do manage to sell for a reasonable price you just get charged more, I'm getting really sick of eBay now, I just seem to lose money on everything, it's just not worth using anymore. Very disappointed.

I use it because I clear 60-75% of my listing price on items that I buy for pennies and that do not seem to sell on any other site. But only you can answer why you use eBay.

Because you choose to list and sell items that cost £10 to send.
I just seem to lose money on everything, it's just not worth using anymore.
There is absolutely nothing stopping you from listing your items with a shipping cost and selling price that results in a profit. But not all items are a good fit for eBay, and it is up to the seller to determine that. If making money on eBay was easy, everyone in the world would be making money.

What luckythewinner said…. Don’t like it, don’t use it. I have yet to find any other platform that even comes close to the volume eBay does with my items. Don’t list items you can’t make money on.

Tell me where else you'll sell it and ship it then. eBay isn't meant for selling stuff that cheap.

Stuff sells daily for me and overall I make money so I always keep using it. Fees are good it means your selling your items and your making money if your not your doing something wrong. All businesses have expenses you cannot expect things to be free so you have to accept the fees if you want to use the site. The fees are reasonable.

The fees are higher than I'd like, but I used to have a brick & mortar store where I had to pay rent, insurance, utilities, employees, etc. Sure, I don't sell as much, but the costs are much lower too. It's all relative.
