I can’t figure out why I’m not getting any feedback. I ship all of my items is polymailers. But I seal them for protection inside a plastic baggie, taped nicely first. I don’t use tissue paper or any fancy cards. I only have 1 shipment that took more that a day & half the time I end up paying for part of the shipping. After weeks of research & reading what other successful sellers do they say it’s a waste of money for fancy wrapping, etc. - all my shipments are first class. Under 12 ounces, so far at least. I’ve received 4 feed backs on 28 sales? Is it rude to contact buyers & ask for feedback - What is going on?

Correct... As soh.maryl stated, it could very well prove to be a mistake. In my case, I have had a few transactions that have been less than stellar, where I decided that a negative comment was unworthy, but not enough for a positive either - I would decide that if I didn't have anything nice to say, I wouldn't say anything and let the seller know via messaging. And then a few days, a week go by and I'd forget all about it I'd get a reminder from the seller about feedback, and that would bring whatever issue I had back to the forefront to the point where I was prepared to go ahead and submit the negative and make my point. Many people simply do NOT leave feedback - buyers NOR sellers. I have had great transactions with 98.999 percent of sellers - and barely a quarter have left me feedback. I've been buying here since 2004, I can well assure you iv'e made more than 142 purchases in all of these years. And anyways, as stated elsewhere, feedback for buyers is no more than a " tied my shoes " trophy, as it can only be positive. I personally count the quality of the transaction as a form of feedback, and just move on. Life is short.

You are right. It’s starting to slowly come

I'm the same. I used to go above and beyond when selling, but would rarely get feedback. It's so strange as when I'm the buyer I immediately leave feedback within a day or two of receiving my item regardless if the seller leaves me feedback first and I don't give it a 2nd thought. If the seller does not leave me feedback first more often than not they will leave me feedback as soon as I leave mine. As a seller if I leave feedback first I may get feedback maybe 40% of the time and since I've switched to not leaving feedback until the buyer does it has dropped down to 0%. I don't get this new mentality by buyers to refuse to leave feedback. It takes literally a minute of time. I still try my best to ensure a buyer of mine gets their items promptly and safely, but I'm not leaving feedback until I receive it and I do not waste my time sending follow up requests asking for feedback.

Some people just don't care. They get the item that they ordered, and they forget about eBay.

Don't ask your buyers to leave feedback. That's "just asking for it".

Very well said. I feel the same way.

< Giving a buyer feedback is worthless >
Courtesy and expressing thanks is never worthless. It has value to the receiver, but more value to the giver.

You have some really nice feedback on there! Just do your best to make your customers happy and it will come. Good luck to you.

Thanks for posting this. I shipped my item, the seller received it as described. I was promptly paid, left positive feedback but received none. This buyer mostly buys and has thousands of positive feedbacks. My guess is that he does his feedback as you noted. It has been about 2 weeks. If I receive none in a month I'll pursue it. Thanks for a good informed reply to a "no feedback" question.

Feedback is important. And for me it was for buyers and sellers.
I check sellers feedback, especially first time purchases. I check to see a pattern of worsening recent problems. I check to see if they have orders where they are totally silent and don't ship or ghost the buyer.
For buyers I would check to see if they were problem buyers, not paying, scamming people, threatening sellers, if they have a history of being a Karen with feedback.
Feedback is/was a treasure trove of info especially if its showing patterns, either good or bad.
