I need help.
I have been selling on eBay for about 2 months, and have sold 27 items (so far) with just shy of $1200 in sales. I know that is not much but I am still learning how. Anyway, right now I have a (9) feedback, all positive, and most of that is as a buyer, with only 4 as a seller. So my question is how on earth do I get more feedback? I have good relations with my buyers, always ship the same day, offer free shipping, etc.
I'm thinking about adding a message on my invoices to my customers that says "10% refund with positive feedback left" or something along those lines, or would that be desperate sounding (I kind of am as higher feedback would open doors to greater sales) and petty?
Thank you

Hello again (I'm the OP),
Thank you all for your kind words and advice. I have not added anything regarding feedback, as I agree with all of you that it would appear desperate. Now I have a feedback of 11, which got me a star haha, which at least makes my selling id a little more "pro" looking so hopefully it helps. I have continued to make sales with no hopes of slowing down. Right now I literally have only about 2% of my inventory on eBay and try to add 2-3 items every day to keep my listings "fresh" with Cassini. I am also a single father to a 3 and 4 year old (why I got into this, sole custody since my daughter was 3 days (yes days) old) so spending hours on end just "ebaying" is not ideal, especially with my normal career on top of it (I am hoping, as lofty as it sounds, to one day only make a living with e-commerce so I can spend more time with my kids and less time in my office) . This has been an adventure to be sure. Three months ago (my first ebay listing) it took 4 days to make a sale. Then another 3 days later. So on and so forth. Now I am selling 2-3 a day, so hopefully with that type of climb I can sell even more in the near future.

I hope that you will one day soon be able to achieve your desire to work from home or only have to work outside the home part time. Raising those kids are the best part of life.
While I'm not a single parent, I had my kids a bit later in life than most. I had a solid career established and I was making very good money. But I really wanted to raise my own kids. So like you I slowly started building my online presence. In time I was able to go to part time outside the home and eventually I quit that job to do this one full time.
I've never looked back and we have never regretted the decision either. We have two GREAT young adults that I'm confident are going to do great things.
I support you and I wish you nothing but the very best!!!!
