Gee!
I have to buy something & for a few days did a big internet search 🔍 of who to buy it from…
3 or 4 EBay vendors all have pretty awful bad feedback.
The issues raised in the feedbacks made me eliminate this seller, then the next seller then the next one!
Still need to buy the item & wonder what to do, where else to go…

It looks like you might have to take a chance on one of them, the question is.....do you got the nerve?

I'm not sure what kind of issues in the feedback have scared you, but the MBG should cover any issue, unless it's something like slow shipping.

Didn’t send correct amount & shorted buyer.
Another
Didn’t send at all.
Another
No communication at all after with problems with sale..
I did buy a small teensy weeny amount of what I need to see if one of the sellers functions & comes through with the merchandise before I place bigger order.

I have seen some pretty terrible feedback to sellers & what confuses me is they are considered Top Sellers , But can have Multiple Negative feedbacks that are really bad & still keep their status!

That might be because feedback is not part of the Top Rated status calculation.
Top Rated status is pretty much based on proactively resolving disputes and shipping on time.

Depends on "what" you are buying. Based on where you live, it is likely tougher to resource somethings vs others.
Shoot the seller a quick email. No replies, I pass. Get a reasonable reply I usually buy. Communication goes a long way.
Good luck!

Yes, but who wants to potentially have to deal with an issue when feedback can help you avoid one in the first place?

Do a goggle search to see who else may have this item for sale - there are lots of other venues to buy on. Not difficult - maybe time consuming.

Not saying you are wrong. I honestly just don't think to look. I purchased a few things recently and never once thought to check their feedbacks, so it's a good thing we have that MBG.

Maybe a Balance between all of it would be a better evaluation

I always do, and it's helped me avoid problems before. Once I was purchasing a gift for a friend-- I checked the feedback of the first seller I had been going to purchase it from and saw a bunch of comments about that particular item being poorly packed by the seller and arriving with box damage in shipping, which I didn't want because the item was going to be a gift. I took my business to another seller instead and my item arrived safe and sound and well-packed.

Just a thought: by any chance are you looking at overseas sellers? Some goods from China may be cheaper, for example, but it can be subpar quality. Have you tried using the location filter to find domestic sellers? I can often find better feedback sellers doing so.
