I’m sure this is beating a dead horse topic but why is it only the buyers can leave negative feedback ? It makes me mad that people can bid your auctions up and not buy it and suffer zero repercussions at all. Sold something recently and buyer bid last minute and never paid with three payment reminders being sent. Smh flawed system

Yes, you're right. That horse is definitely dead. LOL!
On a serious note, I assume you're filing Unpaid Item Disputes so the buyer will receive at least some repercussions (assuming they never pony up, that is).
Was that pun intended??
Wait, buyers can't get negative feedbacks?

Revenge, chasing them off the site, etc.
Just abolish giving buyers FB and be done with it.
No one in the world needs to know that some anonymous buyer named biggunsguido is a LIAR, SCAMMER, THEIF, SLOW PAYER, fast payer, great buyer, etc.

More likely a warning to other buyers that there is a SELLER they should avoid!

I try to avoid unpaid item disputes as long as I can communicate with the person and they give me a reason. For example, I just had a guy who bid and then realized it was the wrong size. He ended up winning. I'm not going to force him to buy something he knows is the wrong size. He didn't do it on purpose so neither am I going to punish him with a strike. He had good feedback. He just goofed. I think he was scared to tell me. LOL.

Sooooo
You give a buyer a negative for not paying, now what? The next seller doesn't know the buyer didn't pay for their item before they committed to buy their item, so what good was it? Who did it help?
Someone will be along and say that at least other sellers could cancel the bids of someone bidding on their auctions.... But wait, I've seen some buyers post on the boards some very valid reasons they couldn't or wouldn't pay for a won auction and they were really worried about getting a negative.
I've seen sellers here on the board argue vigorously that sellers should be able to neg buyers. Often times If you look at how they view and talk about buyers both here on the board and on their feedback replies they are exactly the sellers I wouldn't want to have that power. Who really needs sellers chasing buyers off the site just so they can get their pound of flesh?
Wanna "punish" bad buyers? Faithfully and consistently file your UPI claims and let eBay sort it out. I don't even think about UPIs, I use the unpaid item assistant. I'm like Ron Popeil, but without the male pattern baldness.... I set it and forget it.

I'd be more than happy for non paying customers to avoid me and go to you.
Let's make this happen!

Here is why I don't like it. When you get an offer, ebay prompts it as a reason you should accept the offer. Buyer has 100% feedback. Riiight, they all do. It's completely disingenuous and irritating.

You can get a quick read on any seller by looking at feedback and DSRs but that doesn't really tell the whole tale but it is relatively easy to do a deeper dive right here on site.
Now...a buyer?
There is no quick read or deeper dive read you can do on ebay.
I'd prefer to have the opportunity to defend myself since ebay rarely backs sellers. You can't do that without information. Ebay refuses to give that information.

Sure you can... Just look at the FB the buyer gives to other sellers. The problem of course is that by the time you are aware of the buyer, it is already too late to block them. Buyers getting negatives is not the answer.
