Feedback Timeframe

This morning I received 2 neutral feedbacks.  One of them I think the buyer clearly hit the wrong designation as she says she likes the product and everything was great.  The other one just says "they're okay".  My question is that the one that says "they're okay" was delivered on June 17th.  I can only find policy that says that buyers have 60 days to leave feedback.  Today is September 1st which is well over the 60 day time frame.  Did eBay change policies on this?

If you had tracking confirming delivery on June 17th, the buyer should not have been able to leave FB on Sept 1st.

"You can leave feedback for up to 60 days from the date you received your item or from the expected delivery date, whichever comes first. If no expected delivery date is provided, you have up to 90 days from when you completed your purchase to leave feedback for the seller. You must have had your account for at least 5 days to be able to leave feedback."

18 months ago Devon told us here there was a tech error allowing some buyers to leave FB past 60 days. Over the last 18 mos I've seen several reports indicating this was never fixed.

Thank you!  Apparently it isn't fixed.  I requested eBay call me and they did.  The CSR said and confirmed that the buyer shouldn't have been able to leave it as there was a projected delivery date and it was delivered within the correct timeframe.  So she put in an appeal.  We shall see.  She said it takes 24-48 hours.  I'm having a hard time believing in the eBay process.  I'll come back in 2 days and update if they remove it.

Still a tempest in a teapot.

Neutral FB does not affect our FB rating, and those customers who do look at ratings alone won't see it.

The FB themselves are between neutral and positive and should not affect the choice of any sane customer.

The odd thing with that is that Ebay in the Feedback system asks you if you are SURE you wanted to leave a negative or neutral.  I think a logical person would think that the buyer would have caught that they are leaving one of those types of feedback since Ebay asked them if they really wanted to do that.

When can I leave feedback?

You can leave feedback for up to 60 days from the date you received your item or from the expected delivery date, whichever comes first. If no expected delivery date is provided, you have up to 90 days from when you completed your purchase to leave feedback for the seller.

You must have had your account for at least 5 days to be able to leave feedback.

If the feedback was not left on your account by August 17th, then contact Ebay and get them to remove it.  But since the FB was allowed, your dates may be off.

On each Ebay page there is a link to contact Customer Service at the top of the page and again at the bottom of the page.

I would suggest that you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for the better trained CSRs.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service. Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

https://twitter.com/askebay

https://www.facebook.com/ebay

https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/

Your options will be on the left. If you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant or Chat box type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options. Not all options are available 24/7. It will depend on staffing available. So sometimes you can request a call back and sometimes you can't. Sometimes you have the Chat option available and other times it won't me. If it is important to you to use one of those options, just try back later.

If you use a cell phone or other mobile device, you may need to turn off your Spam filter so that Ebay can call you.

If you are a seller outside of the US or Canada, you will need to use the Chat Option.

What's cool is that the customer who left it by mistake messaged back and said she did leave it by mistake.  So she revised it.  And eBay did say that the other one shouldn't have been left to begin with because it was way past the 60 days.  So eBay removed it.  I was just confused about the whole 60 day thing because it was well past that and the buyer was still able to leave it.  Be it neutral, to me it doesn't matter but he could have totally left a neg as well and it would have been accepted because of the bug.  Apparently the bug is still not fixed and buyers are able to leave feedback past 60 days.

That has me confused too.  I'm not sure how or why that happened.
