Feedback Star Color Achievement Certificates

I think I already got the answer I was seeking:

"eBay doesn't send out certificates anymore. The only one I've seen in years was sent because they retired the Power Seller program." - eBayer: wastingtime101

But I just wanted to be sure, because I just checked my eBay folder, and I have my Yellow, Blue, and Turquoise Star feedback congratulations certificates, but I do not have one for my Purple Star.

I think I may have researched this when I earned my Purple Star, and found out that eBay was no longer sending out certificates, but I don't remember, and just wanted to be absolutely sure.

I know, I still have my "power seller" certificate hanging in my office.  It was a nice "personal touch" that they used to do stuff like that "back in the day" when big companies at least pretended to like their customers.   When I reached my shooting star I would have liked to have gotten some recognition.  When I passed 1M in sales I would have liked to get a little certificate or plaque in the mail.

Youtube still acknowledges contributors milestones.  They send out plaques for people who get a certain number of subscribers, etc. 

I never understood the philosophy behind getting rid of the "powerseller" badges.  It's like taking away an award.  It would be like the military deciding to remove a medal or an organization calling someone to take back their trophy.  It was always a little jejune of ebay to do that.

If I had one suggestion for them to get back some of the "capital" they lost with sellers it would be to go back to that program or at the very least start acknowledging milestones in our selling.  They keep taking, but if they can't give something that simple it's really just not cool.

They can't even bother to send a link to a certificate when you earn one.  You have to search for it!
