I knew it was like playing Russian Roulette, and my number has finally come up. I shipped a package last month that has now been in Arlington TX for a month. FedEx says they gave it to USPS so I can’t file a claim with FedEx. USPS says they don’t have it so I can’t file a claim with USPS. I shipped the buyer a replacement so they’re happy. If you use FedEx Ground Economy service you might want to rethink that decision. Lesson learned!

It's the 'merry -go-round effect'...one saids the other is responsible.
I find it best to ship from directly from the USPS, UPS or Fedex office and not use the 'you know what label'.

Do NOT use Fedex Ground Economy. I had 3 packages going to 3 different customers all dropped off on the same day. All 3 packages were scanned and showed they were dropped off but only 1 ended up in actual transit and then the tracking just stopped and never got delivered. To have 3 packages out of 3 go missing is unheard of. I made at least 5 calls to eBay and another 5 to Fedex and every time they told me I had to call the other LOL. After almost 5 months eBay finally agreed I was supposed to file the claim with them (which I did right after the packages went missing) but unfortunately it was way past the 90 days when they acknowledged that I did it correctly, so there was nothing they could do. As of today, they have switched the process and now you need to file the claim with Fedex using an excel file you download from them. The excel form is basically a few bits of information like tracking #, your name and address and the value of the package. They don't ask you to upload any pictures or documents so I'm assuming this is just the first step and you will have to jump through many hoops and waste hours of your time to hopefully get a refund. No more Fedex ground economy for me. Pay the extra money for another service so you don't have to deal with all the headaches and probably not even get refunded.
