February Seller Check-in .. the disconnect

Joined the February Seller Check-in Zoom meet today.

Little did I know it really was a meet, with ebay top brass, aimed for and at sellers of sneakers and watches.

The vibe was great, everyone smiling and hyped up about how great eBay is doing.
That's wonderful but about half way in I could not take much more and just left.
The disconnect is very real.

But hey, I am glad sneakers are going really well on eBay

Perhaps March Seller Check-in could be zooming in, pun intended, on sellers struggling to actually make some kind of a decent margin.
But hey I know Jordan, who cares about those little guys when you have big corporate funded sellers?
The kind able to move tons of product, with niceties like free shipping, free returns and low pricing, without having to worry if the light will be on the day after.

I was going to attend, but wasn't able. Trying to get stuff done outside after the ice storm last week.

It was about sneakers and watches??  Well, I guess I didn't miss anything after all.

It would be REALLY nice at some point to have something about collectibles, antiques and other neat old stuff...but I guess we don't count.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

It was of course about way more than sneakers 🙂
But same here, way too busy to be able to spend time on pump up webinars. One subject I did take from it was the mobile app importance. As an old geezer, mobile purchasing is not my thing but for the gazillions of youngsters out there, mobile app is what they do.

If the mobile app is so important why is it so useless?

So many functions aren't available for a start.
