February 1st Profile Update Cutoff

Hi. Could anyone tell me this? First, I have not updated my profile because I don't care to have funds go into my bank account. So, if I list an item today, being 26 January for 7 days which would put the ending date into February, would the funds I receive from the buyer still go into my PayPal account?

EBAY does not use PayPal anymore.   You must switch to MANAGED PAYMENTS if you want to continue selling on EBAY.   Go to HELP and search MANAGED PAYMENTS you can sign up there. 

With MANAGED PAYMENTS money is deposited into your CHECKING ACCOUNT 3-5 days after sale. EBAY deducts shipping costs & EBAY fees (whatever is leftover deposited in your CHECKING ACCOUNT).

You will need to provide CHECKING ACCOUNT routing# and SOCIAL SECURITY# (for tax purposes). Names must be EXACT MATCH on your checking account, social security and EBAY profile page. If names don't match EXACTLY your application will be rejected and you will be required to provide additional information.

I'm not selling on eBay under managed payments.  I did the math months ago... I will be paying ebay for the privilege of sending my cards to 'buyers'... In other words I make .10 or so now, after MP it will be -.10... no thanks

I suspect the reason eBay has not explained this officially is intentional, because I suspect that they will not allow existing GTCs to remain on Paypal indefinitely. 

eBay's goal is to get people onto managed payments, not to provide them with a loophole to avoid it. 

I suspect any "grandfathering" of existing listings is a temporary courtesy, not a policy to be relied upon.

Agreed. 

There is a large part of me that wants to put something in the listings along the lines of "moving to facebook find me there in Feb"... but I while I am ticked about MP, I will not break the rules over it.  Besides sooner or later they may come up with an equivalent to micro payments and I'd like to come back at that point. 

The one good thing is my name is the same no matter what I'm on... It's been Cynthealee2 for 30 years+  of being on-line Facebook wouldn't let me add the 2... but same thing.  Same pic as on my store and everything, I had a guy on AOL (yes that long ago) do it for me and I've never changed it.

I had emails saying sign up by this date or no new listings will be available.  Not true, I still was able to list up to a couple of months as I had not pre-registered.  Sales still went to pay pal, finally when they were ready to opt me in they would not let me list anymore until I signed up, but any sales from current listings still went to paypal.  I finally signed up with the same info as I had in paypal that's when payment stopped going to paypal and I have had no trouble with payments as I choose weekly payouts with MP.
