Fake bidder keeps changing their identity and immediately deletes their account

I have a situation where I keep having a person create a new account with varying names and IDs. They then bid on my vinyl records and are the highest bidder. After the auction they immediately delete their account. I continue to add them to my "blocked bidders" list, but they just create a new buyer ID and repeat the process. I'm sick and tired of ebay doing nothing to protect their sellers.  See photo below for details. I tried to call ebay, but I just get a recorded message with no customer support. Buyer with fake id'sBuyer with fake id's

  • Block the IDs (link)
  • Report the IDs (link)
  • File the unpaid item cancellation process. (link)
  • Contact CS on this page through chat or callback and report buyer for auction interference and, if you're previously blocked them, for circumventing your blocked bidder list. (link)
  • If you see them bid on more of your listings and you're within the timeframe for cancelling their bids, do it. (link)

Just curious, what would they have to gain from this?

Seems like a lot of work just to irritate you.

The "fake" id's are NOT deleting their accounts, it's eBay that is shutting them down and apparently in your case pretty rapidly.

All it takes to open an account is a computer or phone and a throwaway email address, there is no way for eBay to prevent them from opening a new account, all they can do is shut them down after they have done something like not pay.
