Failed to Fetch error when trying to reply with an offer

I have been negotiating with a buyer through Ebay and we come to terms.  He said to send an offer and he will accept, but when I reply to his message and click on Reply with Offer I get a "Failed to Fetch" error from Ebay.  How  do I go about sending an offer to them?

Usually what I do is add make an offer to my listing and send the link to the interested person. Then they can enter the agreed upon price and you can accept. Good luck with your sale.

I've experienced that one. If your buyer is a Watcher, just send an Offer from the listing. They'll see it. Good luck.

why doesn't ebay address this "failed to fetch" problem? No way to get direct help from ebay that I could find. No chat or direct phone help. Sad.   Thinking of dumping ebay and going with other online sales
