FYI: Cash payments
HI! I noticed this last week & today I tried it. We can now choose to accept cash only on pick up only items.
I am so very happy about this. I have many high dollar items to list.

It looks like eBay has not yet updated their policies. From this page.

Did you try to set that up on your latest listings, which were started today? If so, I'm afraid it wasn't working like that.
I checked one of your most recent listings, and even though I selected Pickup, I would have been able to pay with PayPal. I went to PayPal to make sure it was possible (but I didn't complete the purchase). It was not preventing me from paying online, for a pickup item.

Ebay has allowed cash payments for pick up only items for many years, but you still must offer an electronic payment too. If you cancel that payment, you will receive a defect.Ive sold pick up items several times over the past twenty three years, and was paid with Paypal a few times, never a problem.

To add to what @lacemaker3 said - I'm also not seeing on the listing form any way to exclude the regular Managed Payments forms of payment (credit card, PayPal, Google Pay etc.)
You can add cash for local pickup, but no way to remove the electronic payment methods that I can see.
@s.scharmu0 when you did the listing, was it still showing payments managed by eBay?

@s.scharmu0 thanks - can you give more details about how you did it?
I set up a listing with pick up only and that's what I was showing screenshots of - like I said, you can add the cash option, but you cannot remove the electronic Payments Managed By eBay options.
So just to make sure I'm understanding what you're saying - when you say you can accept cash only on pick up only items, does that mean you have removed the payments managed by eBay?
If so, please let us know how as I'm sure many sellers would appreciate the info. 😊

Sellers must show an electronic payment option with their pick up only items..that has not changed.

There's a difference between adding Cash on Pickup as an option, and making Cash on Pickup the only option. Can you show us what you're seeing that leads you to believe you can exclude offering an electronic form of payment in conjunction with cash on pickup?
Happy Halloween to you, too. 👻

@bonjourami totally understand and I believe that's most likely still the case.
However, I've been around here enough to know that sometimes eBay tests things (so some people might not see the same things others are) and that eBay doesn't always update policy pages in a timely manner. 🤣
My guess is that nothing has really changed and there's maybe some confusion here, but if @s.scharmu0 really is seeing something different, it would be helpful to know more details.
