FVF, final value fees

is it legal for ebay to charge 12.35% on sales taxes they collect from my sales as part of my final value fee, that money goes to the state where ebay pays the sales tax to

ETsy does the same thing.  I am sure their lawyers made sure everything is up to snuff.

Or, they could not charge you a fee. They could remit all the tax money to you, and then you can be responsible for all the paperwork and filing involved for remitting the sales tax to all the states.

Personally, I think eBay charging a fee on taxes collected and submitting the taxes to all the states is a bargain.
