I know lots of people of this forum like to kiss other sellers good ridden, this one's for you. I have been a seller for over 13 years and what has happened to E-bay is a dam shame. All they ever did was keep taking from the good honest sellers by allowing dishonest buyers to rob from us and then rewarding them by giving them the right every single time. But most e-bayers are also buyers. When we leave most stop buying also, so they loose two times. E-bay can be just as good as Amazon if they put a little money back into advertising again. All they ever cared about was the bottom dollar. They kept raising fee's but gave nothing back, nothing. I can't recall ONE TIME when I called E-bay for help that they every helped. Their customer service is THE WORST AND I DON'T MISS THE KNOT IN MY STOMACH and spending hours on the phone because of the problems the website had, like your items relisting on their own and spending hours looking for the item that was already sold.  I was just crazy the amount of abuse that they put us through.  Now, I will sit back and watch E-bay slowly go down and get burned because no one can treat people this bad and the karma not come back to get them.

I have never felt abused by eBay. Not once. It isn’t possible. I use eBay, eBay uses me. We have a symbiotic relationship.  If and when I feel that I am not getting enough from eBay, I will stop selling. There will be no hard feelings, no sad goodbyes.

They deposit it directly into my checking account.

you best get in line, as sellers have been wishing karma on eBay and that eBay will "go down"....

for the past 15 years or so...

and yet here we are >eBay is still "NOT" dead!

They've known about that problem for years, so no reason to waist hours on the phone.

If they haven't fixed it by now, do you think another phone call is going to make any difference?

Its amazing how many folks want to take a parting shot at you with the experience you have here on eBay. Nearly 18000 feedback, we need to listen to you. Afterall, it's just your opinion. Classic discredit the one who is discontent.

I may not totally agree but I take the cotton out my ears and stick in my mouth and listen. 

It's tiresome reading some of these posts that just have one goal, to prove u wrong. Wonder what's the motive of that behavior.

If as a seller you know this is no longer the place for you, the smart decision is to cut your losses and you have done that.

If you do continue elsewhere, I wish you good luck and it is sad to see a long term seller feeling dejected enough to pull the pin - understandable, but sad.

I'm not sure of the purpose of these threads.  Keep selling or stop selling - it's just a marketplace for listing stuff.  People come and go all the time.  Maybe you'll decide to come back in six months, or not - it's all good.

but if one side forgets that, which ebay top mgmt seems to be, then you get people like this penning their goodbye opuses.

You cant have the ceo and top management disrespecting 80% of sellers and buyers as undesireable because they aren't high dollar transactions.  Ebay cant survive without those transactions.  The top mgmt doesnt understand its a symbiotic relationship.  They hold low value sellers and buyers in contempt.  They are dojng nothing for them in their latest strategies for the site.  They have no desire to see more of them or help them sell more.

The purpose of these threads is to help people see what others believe is going on at this place, by sharing their own personal experiences and views about it.  It is information transfer.  And people will make up their own minds and it will help them by either confirming what they are also seeing, or help them say no, thats not my experience.  Or maybe it will get some who have little experience yet, to investigate things further on their own and come to a conclusion of their own.  People share what they have gone through and what they feel and believe is going on, so that others may say yes, me too, or no, not me, or I need to research this more because its something I should know about.

I honestly don't see that. If they were unsure about staying, wouldn't they state that?  Saying "I'm leaving" - well, I take them at their word that they're leaving and wonder why they bother announcing it - do they want people to beg them to stay?  I guess I don't see eBay as some kind of "home", it's just another selling platform.  I sold elsewhere before I came here, I'll sell elsewhere if I decide to quit here.
