Sounds more like yet another seller who never read the User Agreement.
But be sure to keep us posted on the class action.

That is exactly what happened. I know that blanket charging sellers isn't the only possible solution but there's no going back now.

I have been selling on Ebay for about 18 years and the fee structure is now out of hand. The fact that they include my fees based on state tax and shipping is practically making it impossible to make any money. I sell high priced shoes. sold a pair for $550 and paid $69.96 and then had to pay for free shipping. 12.7% on everything plus paypal is getting to be ridiculous.

I feel the same way. Getting so I can't make money. Only they make the money. I am really getting sick of this

Totally agree. Getting to be impossible to make a profit

I'm about sick of the whining and complaining. It's never ending and non stop. If you are not able to read and UNDERSTAND the user agreement, which INCLUDES the fee structure, then you deserve the stress and headaches you are causing yourself.
If you are bad at math, you are going to suck at being a seller. I, and most sellers, don't seem to have a problem with selling here and being profitable. If you don't like what you are getting out of this platform, either change what you are doing here, or go someplace else. The grass is NOT greener on the other side, I guarantee it.
If you can't learn and roll with the punches, then you will get rolled over. Your choice.

You’re not paying PayPal any more; the processing fee is included in the 12.xx%. You’ve also been paying eBay’s fee on shipping for 10 years.
Can you tell us how you managed to miss these major changes?
Also, when you offer free shipping, you’re supposed to roll the shipping cost into the item price. So complaining about having to pay for free shipping is pretty bizarre.

man im done with ebay how can they charge me a final fee on top of charging me 12.5% and the fee is including the buyers taxes now me having to pay tax on top of the buyers tax is pretty insane ebay is greedy as crap

It's not the same as PayPal. We were not charged fees on tax and shipping. EBay calculations on sales plus tax plus shipping to get there fees. It's hard to determine what percent you are actually paying in fees.

Yes, you were. As a payment processor, PayPal has aways charged their fee based on the total amount of the payment. And now their rate has increased from 2.9% to 3.49%.
As noted elsewhere in this thread, eBay has been charging their final value fee based on the buyer's total payment for over 10 years.

I was wondering that too! I come on here looking for deals when other places are too high. I was looking for a certain item on some other site seen it was $35 came on here seen the same item $20 some bucks! Thought that was great! Until I seen the shipping for $15! (& the item location is right here in the US) I was like **bleep**! I might as well pay for the brand new one then the pre-owned on ebay😂.
