I had listed a Samsung Tablet for sale which was sealed in retail pack. It was given out as a prize. The buyer purchased the device and received it. Complained that the device was not working. Assuming DOA [It is acceptable that the device could be]
However upon return the device turned on straight away with no issues at all.
On contacting the buyer, the conversation was steered into saying that the device turned on after 2 hours of being hung and raised a dispute which eBay tunred in Buyers favour saying it is a Brand New device and should come with warranty.
I had listed the item with no returns. I ended up paying for 2 x postage and ended up with an open working device.
How I see it
They simply opened and had a change of mind and reported the issue as a fault.
On top of this when I complained to ebay saying that I need to a get a refund on my plus membership they cancelled it and no refunds.
After chats and chats all I get is no options to escalate this issue.
This is absolutely poor cutsomer service and hard to believe that there is no way to escalate a concern.
I have been on ebay since 2007 as a buyer and seller [not a business] and have above standard rating.
Ebay charges 12% commission from sellers not the buyers and still blindly takes decision in favour of the buyer.

Hi, sorry for your troubles.
Did you realize this is the USA forum? You might get better advice on your Aussie forum, as rules differ in other countries. For example, we don’t have eBay Plus here in the States.
Good luck to you and hope you find resolution for your concerns.

Crikey, instead of complaining you should be down on your knees thanking Baby Jesus that you got your Samsung tablet back in working order instead of a box of rocks.
