Extortionate Fees

Have subscription. Sold plastic toy (auction) £1.20

Postage (charged) £3.99

Postage (actual cost) £3.35

Buyer pays £5.19 in total

Ebay gets 96p

I get 88p (after postage cost)

I feel so foolish & ripped off. Anger would be a fair assessment...

Re: Extortionate Fees

Why are you angry? The fees are clearly exhibited in the Help & Contact information.

Are you angry with yourself for not reading before you sold?

Re: Extortionate Fees

eBay never hid their fees from anyone.  The only person you have any right to mad at is you.

You've found yourself on the ebay.com discussion board Community. You're certainly welcome here, but you might want to post this on the ebay.co.uk discussion boards to solicit advice and/or comments from your fellow ebay.co.uk members:

Re: Extortionate Fees

The buyer paid you for the postage and you used those funds to pay the postage cost.

What else did you expect would happen?

When you checked the fee schedule to estimate your fees, what did you calculate you would get?

Did you make a mistake in your calculation that led you to believe that you would get a different amount?

Re: Extortionate Fees

I think it would be best if I remove my comment (above) + this one, but don't know how.

This is not the place...

Somebody do me a favour (& 'rockstar') & tell me how to delete please 😉

Re: Extortionate Fees

well do not start an auction at the low price: make sure you can make a buck and start it there.

You can go to options on the right and select unsubscribe if you don't want to receive any more notices

@wiltel0787

I've contacted a moderator and pointed out your request to have the thread deleted. Hopefully, you'll have better luck with civil responses on the ebay.co.uk discussion boards.
