Ending listings to refresh inventory

Does ending listings and then at a later time relisting them help to refresh stale inventory by bringing them back up to the "new listing" status.  Seems that after months of not selling an item and others sellers always adding new similar listings that the old listings would get well...buried.

Is there a suggested time to wait before you relist?  Aa always I would appreciate any and all suggestions from more experienced sellers.  Thanks

Don't "relist" use "Sell Similar", with the latter the listing will not be associated with the old listing. Probably not a bad idea to tweak the listing a bit especially the Title.

eBay would suggest after 16 months to end, tweak and list again. Nothing to say if this is too early or too late, sort of depends on the Item.
