Apparently this causes it not to show up in your solds or completeds, and when you finally do track it down (because you know the last one sold within the last month) you find it has an ebay note that it was ended by the seller as no longer available.
Isn't this skewing sold results?
Why was I doing this? Because I ended it thinking I wouldn't get it again, but did.

If you use the Out of Stock feature, it applies to ALL of your listings even if they are "one offs" that you will never "restock". Look into this...it is my understanding that those listings will "renew" and count toward you allotment for quite a while even if you do not "replenish" your stock.
If I am wrong, please correct me.

Yes, it skews sold search results. I noticed recently that they have started appearing in solds search on and off... either due to a glitch from behind the scenes coding or as a potential new change they will roll out later.
If you want the listing to show up in your solds search page then you can up the quantity to 1 before ending the listing as a work-around until and unless they change it. That will also bring the item into your unsolds listings page so if you rely on that page for inventory management then use the work-around with caution lest you relist it unintentionally.
