Ended vs Unsold

Please help! What is the difference between Ended and Unsold? For a couple of years now, I've noticed that when I click on the Ended button, it reroutes me back to Unsold. Just to check it out, I ended a bunch of items. I then went to Ended and they were not there. They were; however, in the Unsold.

There is no difference between ended and unsold IMO

Unsold could be an auction that didn't get bid on and ended.

Ended could mean the seller ended the listing. 
Either way neither was sold.

The listings that end up in my "ended" section are OOS listings that eBay ended after 5 renewals. It makes some sense because these listings are neither "unsold" or "sold".

Are your listings multi-quantity? Do you use the Out Of Stock option?

Yep you end them & Ebay puts them in the unsold column, I think they can stay there for 90 Days in the meantime you can relist them if you want
